to be honest with u, i love this game. i play it all the time. i will admit that the controls do take some getting used to but once u get the hang of them its very fun to play. the graphics are actually a step up from the svr franchise. like svr, all of the movesets can be completely edited. the relive, rewrite, redefine modes are all pretty sweet to play. with the ability to import the svr 09 roster to the game, to me, makes this game a must buy. the addition of thumbtacks is totally sweet 2!!

Don't listen to the reviews and the demo doesn't do it justic. Yes this is a MUST buy for any wrestling fan period!! Great game play,graphics,unlockable clothes,vids,events.Tons of wrestlers I grew up with. I give it a 10+ as it's alot of fun to play as well! Make a tag team,wrestler too.If you love old school wrestling then get it! Don't listen to people bashing it. I'm 42 and love this game best one so far!Rent it to make sure but I bet you'll buy it!! I love the idea of this game especially since the Acclaim one was so bad. But since Yukes is still making these games that look pretty and play like shit I will never be a fan of them. They need to go back to the Aki developers. Don't know why Yukes is even making this game still, and what the hell theme music is Rude coming out too! Thats not even his real music. Not to mention theirs no Heenan or Monsoon calling the commentary.

No actually thats not Rudes music. I grew up watching Rude as well and Rudes music had a Sax playing through out the song. I have both his WWF music and his WCW music, and this music is a crappy remix that Yukes decided to use. You can type in WWF themes Rick Rude in your search bar on youtube and it will spit up Rudes theme for you.

I wanted this game until I played the demo. I just don't like the camera angle of this one for some reason. Seems like they took a step back. I'll probably still end up getting it as I've heard you can import and export characters with smackdown 2009

I know who I'm going to play as when I get this game: Jimmy Superfly Snuka. Man, he looks awesome in this game. I just wish the game was a little less arcady, to the point that wrestlers sold moves and experienced limb-specific-damage like in the Smackdown games. Other than that, this game is looking really good. Wrestlers do sell damage, but when Snuka jumped off the top of that cage, both men should have been holding their midsections in extreme pain. Good looking game though.
