She is doing what we call exhortation in the black/african american church. It is true that God inhabits the praises of His people. He steps into our praise and fixes things!! She's speaking of praising God. She's trying to say that if you raise your hand and call God, He comes to see about you!! God loves when we PRAISE him, his ears are attentive to us.
The bible talks about Bartimeus and the bible says that Jesus was about pass him by until he starting crying 'Son of David Have Mercey on Me". As she said God does inhabit the praises of his people and the bible says Draw unto him and he will draw unto you. We draw God closer to us when we praise God. That is why she's saying.

I understand what you are saying, but our praise does NOT determine the outcome of our circumstances. There are people who are terminally ill with cancer who know that they are going to die and they still give GOD the PRAISE. I do believe that God will step in our PRAISE and not change our situation, but it will also change us.

Yes, you do need a concordance to see the Greek and the Hebrew for what it meant in that context. Just like back in the day they sacrificed animals, but we don't have to do that today. You have to rightfully divide God's word. You can read Joel 2:28. In Christ, there is no male or female. He will use whomever he wants to do His work.
Learn how to Rightfully divide? It says workman not workwoman. Anyway you may want to stop ignoring 2 Timothy 2:11-12 because it does say "Let the woman learn in SILENCE with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in SILENCE". So are you going to just ignore these truths? If you get a concordance, you will see the context of the word "silent", and how Paul was using it in that day. Women were not allowed to speak because when they did, it would be out of order, so he advised them to ask their husbands at home. It has nothing to do with preaching. And in Joel it says that your sons and DAUGHTERS shall prophesy, and look up the work prophesy and it means to PREACH.

Tradition and old bible interpertation has gotten many us confuse. But the I feel is that as she is linig up with the word of God she is alright with me. Her messege is very uplifting.
While people are STUCK in traditions the lady is being used to Minister the Word and people are being set free and learning how to receive from God. blessed5 is right! Dorinda can use her "Dr." title if she wanted too, but she mainly goes by Evangelist. But like I said Dorinda isn't about those titles, it's we who are. Like for her SMC Conference on flyers and things, she is addressed as Dr. It all depends. Many of the time it is just Evangelist though.
But, she is an ordained evangelist first and that is the title she prefers to use.
She has used her "Dr." title before but prefers to be referred to as Evangelist Dorinda Clark Cole. Hope this clears it up. Be blessed and remember to raise up a standard of holiness. P.S.-Just a little history, Dr. Mattie Moss Clark has a honorary Doctorate Degree as well.
Dr. Dorinda Clark Cole has a Master's of Divinity which she herself worked for. She had bestowed upon the honorary Doctorate of Divinity because of what she has done for people thru the word of GOD. When you are awarded a Honorary degree of any type, you are entitled to all of the privilges and held for all of the responsibilities thereof. She can use the "DR." title because she been given the merits and permission to do so.
If it is an honorary doctorate, it is recognized as just that by the education community, a honor. It is not to be used as a title. I love Dorinda, but it is bad etiquette to refer to someone as a doctor unless proper accreditation merits it.
Well Dorinda's degree is a Master of Divinity. I think it's special because people esteemed her to be worthy of an honorary degree, and it speaks for itself...HONORARY! But Dorinda isn't really caught up in that title...it's we who are.
if you receive any type of honorary doctorate, you are thus entitled to many if not all of the same privileges as those who went through a doctorate program. You are most certainly able to use the title wherever one goes.

Ok I understand what you are saying. But Dorinda does say, but not often that the circumstances we get ourselves into is that because we have sinned and did not listen to God. God is able to get us out of stuff, that we got ourselves into. She may not do it alot, but she does. Like I said she is growing. She does point out that God has us going thru certain things to get us to see Him, and actually grow closer to Him.

continued...I have several sermons where Dorinda speaks LIFE into people, and lays hands, and really allows God to use her to minister and speak a WORD into people's lifes. The way I may minister the WORD, and the way you may do it may not be the same, we are all called for different things. And Dorinda is still growing as we all are.
we are to follow preachers and teachers as they follow Christ, and these messages don' do that, has nothing to do with me being fond or not of Ms Dorinda, im more concern with biblical teaching done correctly the way Christ taught
And Dr. Cole is growing. It doesn't mean that she isn't equipped to teach or preach the WORD. Her ministry is effective, and like I said if she is doing wrong, and not doing things God would have her to do, it is for God to deal with her, not US! And Dorinda's FRUITS are showing and bearing, so I believe God is pleased with her. He is continually blessing her!

Dorinda is an EXHORTER and ENCOURAGER, that may be her job as a evangelist, every preacher is different. But many ppl have accepted Christ when God used Dorinda. Just because Dorinda preaches what u think is all about BLESS ME, BLESS ME, which is not true, she does know the WORD and is ANOINTED!! God uses her mightily and she loves reaching the masses with the WORD of God.
That story wasn't about Peter getting more fish than he could handle, it was about his obedience to God...and if he got blessed in the process, well thats what happens when you're obedient. He uses things like that to show forth his favor to His people, and there is NOTHING wrong with being THANKFUL for ALL of that!!

While people are STUCK in traditions the lady is being used to Minister the Word and people are being set free and learning how to receive from God. Yes this is Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. If you are COGIC in the State of Georgia, Because this is were they had Bishop J.D. Husbands Funeral at this church. Bishop Ford didnt want it at no COGIC Church in Atlanta when he died, so Mt. Carmel openend up their doors for the Husband family.

Dorinda preached this back in October 2005. I called the church for the DVD. Currently, this DVD from my sermon collection of Dorinda has been misplaced. Regularly I could copy it for you, but I don't have it in my possession right now, so you would have to contact the church.

blessed5 is right! Dorinda can use her "Dr." title if she wanted too, but she mainly goes by Evangelist. But like I said Dorinda isn't about those titles, it's we who are. Like for her SMC Conference on flyers and things, she is addressed as Dr. It all depends. Many of the time it is just Evangelist though.

Dr. Dorinda Clark Cole has a Master's of Divinity which she herself worked for. She had bestowed upon the honorary Doctorate of Divinity because of what she has done for people thru the word of GOD. When you are awarded a Honorary degree of any type, you are entitled to all of the privilges and held for all of the responsibilities thereof. She can use the "DR." title because she been given the merits and permission to do so.

If it is an honorary doctorate, it is recognized as just that by the education community, a honor. It is not to be used as a title. I love Dorinda, but it is bad etiquette to refer to someone as a doctor unless proper accreditation merits it.

Well Dorinda's degree is a Master of Divinity. I think it's special because people esteemed her to be worthy of an honorary degree, and it speaks for itself...HONORARY! But Dorinda isn't really caught up in that title...it's we who are.

I agree with you about the separation from the world. I still don't like to see worldly dancing in the church. The church already had its' own dance. And yes there are some women preachers who feel that they have to look and act like men in order to preach the word. The Clark Sisters are very feminine and humble in the pulpit.

Ok I understand what you are saying. But Dorinda does say, but not often that the circumstances we get ourselves into is that because we have sinned and did not listen to God. God is able to get us out of stuff, that we got ourselves into. She may not do it alot, but she does. Like I said she is growing. She does point out that God has us going thru certain things to get us to see Him, and actually grow closer to Him.

The way I may minister the WORD, and the way you may do it may not be the same, we are all called for different things. And Dorinda is still growing as we all are.

Her ministry is effective, and like I said if she is doing wrong, and not doing things God would have her to do, it is for God to deal with her, not US! Dorinda is an EXHORTER and ENCOURAGER, that may be her job as a evangelist, every preacher is different. But many ppl have accepted Christ when God used Dorinda. Just because Dorinda preaches what u think is all about BLESS ME, BLESS ME, which is not true, she does know the WORD and is ANOINTED!! God uses her mightily and she loves reaching the masses with the WORD of God.

That story wasn't about Peter getting more fish than he could handle, it was about his obedience to God...and if he got blessed in the process, well thats what happens when you're obedient. He uses things like that to show forth his favor to His people, and there is NOTHING wrong with being THANKFUL for ALL of that!!
