I have social anxiety disorder and I live in the middle of nowhere. The women here are either married or single with children. I upgraded to member and "Massive increase in emails." were accorded to the membership. Where is my massive loads of emails? Nothing changed. I think the membership basically just give me a better pimped out profile, stalker features such as hours, read, unread, or deletes. These tips r pretty good for a beginner. Those who stay for a few mos. figure out these things as they go along, but the main issues you'll have on POF are with the site interface that somehow does not change, despite having as many workers as are shown in the video (I BET they're greenscreened in). Users currently "online" at POF are displayed more prominently than everyone else, the Flash image uploader hasn't worked since it was released, & u can't block someone u don't wanna be shown again.

I really think they should have put mor emphasis on NOT being generic. I have looked at many profiles (of women, I'm a guy) and they are all the same. Fun loving, outdoors, partner in crime...Oh yawn. The biggest appeal is a unique profile. Here is some advice. Look at other guys profiles. A lot. Look for common themes and do something different. Know your enemy(in this case competition). As much BS as there is on POF, there is also a lot of good. You just have to persevere.
I noticed that too, there are so many fake people out there. You have to wonder, if these people have similar interests, why are they still on the site? Anyone can complain about ratio's but if you're an at least average looking guy with a good sense of humour, photos and a well written profile you will success. All of this is pretty sound advice, but the bottom line is, if you don't look "hot" you'll get ignored. doesn't matter how well you follow this advice. My problem is not that I'm not having luck with getting ANY woman, but that many on there are undatable dolts, bland, have one sentence on their profile, etc. POF seems like hotornot with messaging. These tips r pretty good for a beginner. Those who stay for a few mos. figure out these things as they go along, but the main issues you'll have on POF are with the site interface that somehow does not change, despite having as many workers as are shown in the video (I BET they're greenscreened in). Users currently "online" at POF are displayed more prominently than everyone else, the Flash image uploader hasn't worked since it was released, & u can't block someone u don't wanna be shown again.

I really think they should have put mor emphasis on NOT being generic. I have looked at many profiles (of women, I'm a guy) and they are all the same. Fun loving, outdoors, partner in crime...Oh yawn. The biggest appeal is a unique profile. Here is some advice. Look at other guys profiles. A lot. Look for common themes and do something different. Know your enemy(in this case competition). As much BS as there is on POF, there is also a lot of good. You just have to persevere.

I only thought I was born late because in the past I thought people were romantic, but as time moves on, I think people become more and more selfish, especially with technology that comes out today like facebook, online dating (like pof), and all that.

So Sarha good video from you at plenty however long or short ones page is even if one has done all the tips shown in the video . having a short or longer page . dose not mean the girls will get back . even when asking them about what they like do on so on . It seems girls do not like to chat to the guy first even if they like their page . . ans even when the guys do ask then for a chat or ask then things to talk on they don't get back on one knows if others get back , how about showing this

there needs to be more "prefer not to say" options for more questions like the income question. I just think women in general want every bit of info. question is.. what can the women do for men? can women really make the first move? what happened to real love from women? I must have been born late or something.

@mik3ca I totally agree with the " prefer not to say " answer for one's income, what can the women do for the men? they give men a single reason to recklessly spend money... why? because they are susposto be worth every penny of it. Real love from women depends on how thick your wallet is, what's the difference between a prostitute and a wife? at the end of the day you end up broke with both but you get something new every evening with prostitutes and no dude, you were not born late.

Good video - Sarah ! what about " Mail settings ? " - if you see three profiles , they all have different settings , ,amd all three could have different variations , but do we have to match our settings exactly to each of the three individuals , so tat our message arrives to them -or are we missing out on messages from what we have set as our own mail settings ??? All of this is pretty sound advice, but the bottom line is, if you don't look "hot" you'll get ignored. doesn't matter how well you follow this advice. And if your in good shape, then why not show it off? I've heard women tell my they have literally received hundreds of emails a day. If your profile doesn't stand out then you have no chance.
Sometime I think success for guys, it boils down to luck. There's no real winning formula.

"Non-Smoker".,.when i see a woman say that her interests are only that, i move on because i do smoke,. occasionally and don't like it,.. and would quit in a heartbeat for the right woman.So maybe "non-smoker or prepared to quit" would be a better approach. Hope you have a video for women too.They need tips too.
