  • Pretty!

  • lol i thought the title said jell-o soup

  • This is awesome! I just made some and now it's in the fridge chillin' :)

  • This is really cool. I might try with the kiddos and use shaped molds. Valentines is coming up.

  • Can i use a jell-o packet to make them?

  • @0008116

Do you want to smell like jell-o?

  • Very clever idea!

  • why do you need iodized salt?

  • Why do you need the salt, by the way? Is it actually needed?

  • this is sooo cool totally gonna try it!

  • what if u dont have body wash just soap

  • can u eat it lol :megusta:

  • Why can't you use jello pakets and can you buy gelatin at a regular food store ?

  • Gift Idea:

Mix all the ingrediants together and pour in small jar. Tie a string and note around the top of the lid telling what to do next. (Pour into ice cube tray, mold, circle or square pan, ect. and put in fridge for 2-4 hours and then take out of fridge, and you have jello soap!)

Great party favors, gifts, prizes, etc!

    -Megan

  • @CrazyMeg100 But it would get firm... If you're doing this, you shouldn't mix them, just put the packets of everything together with the instructions.

  • I started doing this a few years ago, and it actually works great! But for me I actually had to use 2 packets of Gelatine. It works amazingly! And pretty much any shower gel works. I tested out bubble bath too and yes, it does work. Not many bubbles but still smells good and stays together. I reccomend keeping them in the fridge. Outside of the fridge they tend to melt over a while. All in all they are great gifts, party favors, or just for yoursef to have! :)

  • Hi,

If you want to make a smaller batch,do you have to use a lesser size amount of ingredients?

  • What kind of gelatin did you get??, and can u use liquid and foam hand soap???

  • I tried this with actuall jello mix and it woried just fine i tried with gelitan and jello packets the jello actually worked better

  • lol can u use actual Jello-packages instead?

  • @Starsofneon No.

  • @Starsofneon yes u can -___-

  • @kristinramseyy Yes, that's what it's for.

  • random question.... how would you pack this?

  • can you use iodized sea salt instead of just salt?

  • I like your body wash, it seems like it's with a glitters

  • i was wondering if it works if you like swirl the mixture somehow and make it look cool xD

  • hi i know you said that its not possible to use flavoured gelatin but why?

  • Why not just use the body wash?

  • @danielcarmi305 Because some of us like to be crafty! ;)

  • @LactoseOverdose plus it's fun

  • @danielcarmi305 They make fun and useful gifts!! I'd rather get a bar of gelly soap than another useless knitted reindeer sweater! (Sorry auntie..)

  • ok i so have to do this now lol my nephew likes to help me when i do crafts an this one is easy nough for him to help out with an get a kick out of doin ^^

  • I know that this is no new news or anything and I am sure that you have heard it all. ,but I wanted to tell yu Thank you for sharing this ... We were looking @ a few things that we could do for Christmas for My Twin Daughters and their Teachers and thse are GREAT !!!! VERY EASY AND MY TWIN DAUGHTERS CAN DO THIS BY THEMSELVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    THANK YOU !!!

  • I thought food colouring was not skin safe and could stain...

  • I have never gotten Lush jellies.. So how do you use them in the shower?

  • @babymariah you rub it on your skin like a bar of soap.

  • Can we use jello..

  • I'm going to use my lush shower gel.

  • i make it all the time!!!

  • i wonder if you can add 2 packets to make it extra firm

  • @1RedRightHand1 Yes you can! :3

  • Hi do you need to the jello to be without sugar? (: thanks!

  • @Isabella5995 you can't use any kind of Jello brand products, it has to be gelatin.

  • Like it how you wobble it in your had to show that it's jelly :) Dosn't the food clouring run when you wash yourself with it? Like this guys so she can see please?

  • @katie12x No the food coloring does not run. It's the same with every other bath product. It just has a touch of dye in it.

  • whats the expiriation date of a jello soap?

  • Made this today!! Omg I loved it sooo used blue food coloring in one and red in another and they didn't stain my skin!! My mom was really questioning on me making them but once one was done and i let her play with it she asked me to make her one :) great vid thanks so much!!!

  • Do you have to use salt or could you use somthin else instead?

  • @XpinkystarX78 has to be salt.

  • is it sented?

  • How long does it last befor it rots?

  • Thank you, this recipe dyed both me and bath green and it dissapeared within the first 5 minits

  • id add it to the mold first before adding the food colouring, then the colour would have a straky design

  • i gave some of thes to my soon to be mother in law and she loved them thank you so much i used some old candy models and they just where so cute thank you so much

  • could u layer it like say blue than mabe pink

  • Will this stain your skin?

  • What music is this?

  • Doesn't it melt if it not in the fridge????

  • @Nittany8890 no cause the gelatin makes it firm and makes it stay like that

  • Will this not melt outside the fridge

  • can you use shampoo instead of soap????

  • @knsparkles i did and i found it worked beautifully :)

  • nice video:) is it ok to use liquid hand soap? please respond.

  • this is awesome, tank ya {:

  • okayy so i tried making the soap with a body wash that contained "massaging/exfoliating" beads and it came out great.

only thing i changed was i added 1 Cup of body wash and it came out awesome!

  • can u use the same bowl as mold

    plz respond

  • @popdelicios um, yeah...

  • can i use soap that has like little "massage/exfoliating" beads?

  • @JillyBean1001 I don't see why not. As long as the beads aren't too heavy. :)

  • @Soawesomelikeyou Yes! You don't need to have it. Just if you want a different color. :)

  • I think you mean "Flavored Gelatin will not work.." Anyways.. AWESOME video i made this and my sisters and mom wanted some xD you might just want to say how to store them at the end though!!

  • so do you have to keep this refrigerated? or can you make small ones and keep them in the bath? also do they harden after a few days? You made alot! This is really cool, Thanks

  • why would u put food coloring on ur skin!!?!?!?!?!!

  • @HelpMeetGaGaOFFICIAL It wont hurt you...

  • I saw your profile name thing, does it mean anything? If I had a lactose overdose, I would have explosive diarrhea, I'm lactose and tolerant. By the way love the tutorial!

  • ah..no u can't use jello, its own flavor, dye, and concentration. Follow the recipe. Also, any salt will do.

  • Could you use Jello?

  • wow, thanks so much, I'm gonna try with It's Raining Men, since I bought 10 big ones when I could.

  • does this get hard after a day or so

  • can i use salt without iodized?

  • how long would you reccomend letting it set in the refridgerator?

  • Can you use jello mix rather then geletin powder?

  • @annamariet08 they put a huge note in the front saying no!

  • What can u put in it to make it a face scrub?!

  • Do you think bath salts (that are sort of grinded up) will work better than iodized salt? :)

  • So cool

  • This looks cool! I think I'm gonna try it!

  • U used a food grade liquid scent and none scented soap and food grade color omg smelled soooooo good just like cherrys I put them in a craft show and sold out

  • that so cool

  • this is awesome! :D i'm totally going to do these for gifts. i was going to make a bath bomb but i still looked around for something easier and with less ingredients that i would have to buy. thank you so soso much for posting this! :)

  • @araines15 You're welcome! :D

  • I always make jello-soap.

  • I made it today :)

  • I am making this soon!! :) great tutorial ;)

  • i think you should do more :)

  • *:D

  • I loved it, because normally it would be hard. But its not!!! :d

  • LOVE THIS!! Made a batch yesterday, used some today. I like that you can cut and use just enough for one time use, tiny piece for hand washing, bigger piece for bathing, and because it has to stay refrigerated it's very refreshing to use on hot days. Thanks for posting this recipe.

  • How long does one bar like that last?

  • Is it possible to make one from agar , for vegan people? Also, can it be made from liquid soaps that do not contain sulfates?

  • could you use geletin leafs instead of geletin powder?

  • @natashaxgoldman I don't think they would. I've never worked with them so I have no idea. :\

  • @natashaxgoldman yes, natasha. as long as its plain geletin, you dont have to worry about it.

  • is the salt like table salt?

  • @LactoseOverdose oh, Thanks!

  • This is great! Thanks for sharing. I will use my homemade liquid soap. I also plan to add chunks to hard soap for color and texture interest. You have given me SO many ideas!!

  • @alemapretsof you can also add glitter!!!

  • hi wadup

  • I hope it works with jello and axe

  • can ya just use jello?? instead of gelatin??

  • @cupcake18penguin gelatin is whats in jello...shes just using unflavored

  • Does it have to be unflavored jello?

  • do you have to iodizied salt

  • @moshimonster2002 that's what i'm wondering! i just put mine in the fridge and just noticed i forgot the salt! D:

  • where can u find gelatin could it be at warmart

  • @3000Crystal I think most Walmarts should have it. I know mine do. It's usually in the baking/jello aisle.

  • I just tried this for the first time, 1st batch turned out pretty solid, and the 2nd batch didn't turn out very well - didn't set properly. I think it's b/c I used citrus based oil for scent on the 2nd.

  • @kayxface1 You can add better quality soaps in if you are worried. Lush is amazing but not everyone can afford it : ( so I think this is a good alternative

  • How long can it stay out without drying??

  • Doesn't the food dye, dye your skin?

  • @SephoraSweetheart96 not if you use a few drops. if you used the entire bottle, then it probably would.

  • @LactoseOverdose ahahahahahh~ TIME FOR A PRANK THEN >:DDD

  • can u use flavored jello? lol and if u cant do u know why?

  • @LissCanDoMakeup Because it has flavoring, dyes, sugar, etc in it.

  • @LactoseOverdose one more ha it says its sugar free... and wouldnt putting food coloring in it anyway do the same thing? lol sorry so many questions :P

  • @LissCanDoMakeup Yeah but it still has flavoring and other things in it lol. Trust me, it won't work.

  • I do have a question though. Does the jelly soap hold it shape/last out of the fridge? I know that the real version does not use gelatin but think this version would be a neat project for kids to try. My concern is does the final product hold it's shape in room temps and heat/humidity in the bathroom or does it begin melt like jello would?

  • @rainedaywoman It does act similar to jello in keeping it's shape/not melting except it's a bit firmer and will last longer. It will melt eventually though. I think someone in the comments said that adding in a bit more gelatin will help it be firmer and last longer in room temperatures.

  • Thanks for posting. I know others have said it but you are not supposed to use food coloring for skin care products. There are cosmetic dyes and mica powders available at pretty much any craft store and cosmetic ingredient distributors. Sure for personal use do what you wish but you risk staining your skin and your tub/sink. Also, some dyes are dangerous to use near your eye area and can cause a risk blindness which is why food coloring is banned by FDA for cosmetic use.

  • Hi this is great one question does it melt or does it have to be kept in the fridge ?

  • Great Job! I can't wait to try this. If anyone is worried that food coloring will dye your skin, just use soap grade colorings.

  • if you remelted it it would become more sturdy and last longer

  • Thats brilliant thank you :0) Of to try it out :0)

  • can u use jell-o or just gelatin?

  • Thank you so much thats brilliant :0)

  • why do you use salt? wouldn't that dry out your skin?

  • Hi i have just found this video and it looks brilliant :0) I npticed you used a measuring jug and was wondering how much boiling water you put it using the volume on the jug?! Im English and we dont normally measure in cups also i only have huge cups so dont want to add to much thank you :0)

  • @MrnMrsGemnCal It would be 177ml of water and 118ml of liquid soap. :)

  • Mines gets watery wat should I do? =\

  • @36shima36 add more soap. i made xxmakeupiscoolxxs version, which is the exact same, but she suggests adding a little more soap. i made mine with bath and body works coconut vanilla shower gel.. amazing! hope this helps. xoxo

  • i cannt find geletain

can i try somthing else ?

  • why cant u use flavoured jello?

  • @MorvenHannah Because it has flavoring, dyes, and sugar in it.

  • Does the blue food colouring not make your skin go blue or red or whatever colour you chose ?

  • @BakerBrownies No it will not stain your skin. The amount you use is so small that it won't do anything. :)

  • u gotta use two jell-o packets.

    2 hours.

  • u gotta use two jell-o packets.

  • is it breakable?

  • will shower GEL work?

  • @Theturtleburtle5 Yep! Shower gel and body wash are the same thing.

  • omg i made a couple of these and they turned out soooo cool!!!!! but mine keep like melting after they're out of the fridge 4 awhile so do i need to refridgerate them???? im gonna try to make tie dye and ill tell u how it works out soon! also mine only takes like and hour and a half to two hrs to form into jello, so thats awesome! xoxo ~celine

  • Omg can't wait to use this idea all I need is gelatin and body wash I ran out lol :p

  • omg i cant wait to try this tomorrow cuz its like 9:00 pm so im obviously not gonna do it right now, but all i need is the unflavored gelatine!

  • can colored jello work?

  • Can i Use Hot coco mix to color it and give it a scent??

  • @balletdancer12396 I dont think so. lol

  • @LactoseOverdose lol i tried it and it smelt really good! But when i use it, it breaks easliy? Is that normal?

  • If i use shampoo will it make a jello shampoo?? + the same w/ conditioner??

  • @Pinoy8250 well you'd have to make sure that the shampoo is in gel form, not creamy.

  • I am so trying this.....literally, just made em they are in the fridge right now. I messed em up the first time...the gelitain came with four packets and for some reason that day I was being an idiot and added all 4..... they ended up really lumpy and smelling really bad. ONLY USE ONE PACKET!

  • for fun shapesplace cookie cutters on wax paper on a baking sheet and fill them up *make sure you cookie cutter doesnt leak when you do it * than stick it in the fridge- fun cool shapes christmas easter and much more!

  • @xoDressage there's actually this thing called kosher geletin...it has NO animal products..., well no animal meat atleast...

It is harder to find.. I don't know if it's readily available at any supermarket, but if there's an Arabic grocerystore (which I'm sure there is) the only jelly substance they sell is kosher.

  • I did the same thing you did on ur video, but i had to add Two packets of Gelatine. It didnt work when i used One. Its so squishy! Awsome video!

  • Comment removed

  • u could use pectin? fake gelatin

  • Wouldn't the color from the food coloring stay on your skin?

  • `can u add glitter.??

  • can you keep it over night

  • Thanks so much for this! I made it with my 7 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it.

  • @xoDressage why would you need an alternative your not going to eat it anyways! ;)

  • I did this and I just used jello mix instead and you don't need color cuz it comes with it

  • @TheSweetcandy100 But the flavors and ingredients in the flavored mix aren't very good for your skin.

  • Do you know if agar agar would work?

  • @piratequeen357 it should work, its pretty much the same as gelatin in its purpose, it will just stay solidified at a closer to room temp temperature. also its stronger than gelatine.

  • cool beans!!

  • do you need the mold????//

  • is it 3or 4 cups of water or 3 quarters :)

  • is there an alternative to gelatin for us vegetarians? =]

  • where do i ger gelatin with flavor, if i doit with out the flavor it will work?
