  • Ava, in your 60's you were prettier than todays trollops in their 20's, I will always love you no matter what.

  • Thanks so much for sharing! I hope some day to visit myself

  • There are alot of beautiful woman in Hollywood, then and now, but very few of them are "Extraordinary Beautiful" as Ava. The others that are also extraordinary beautiful are Rita Hayworth and Elizabeth Taylor. Just my opinion. Thanks saraismyname

  • Very nice compilation.

Love a lot of her movies. She's great in On The Beach, and the chemistry between her and Gregory Peck is very obvious. They were great friends until her death. The Peck's adopted her little dogs and brought her maid back to America with them after Ava died.

Another sad and lonely song. Was is it about Ava and sad songs?

  • This is a refreshing change from the glut of video stills tribute to Ava gardner. However, how come there are no snippets from her more recent films like 'the bluebird' or 'regina roma?'

  • Zeitgeist!...Jackson Browne at his best. Brings back so many memories-both 'good' and 'bad'..although, in retrospect there is little difference in the two.

  • I love Ava.Altough she wasn't very talented early in he career, she always had a huge screen presence and a striking beauty.Later on she did learn to act.

  • Ave used to come to Forest Mere health farm with a maid, I think she felt very comfortable because people don't stare,Gary Glitter was there at the same time. Her hair was shoulder length, and she looks great in a bathing costume. I met her several times.

  • She used to stay at Forest Mere Health Farm in Hampshire, I swam in the pool with her, she was really charming, and had a great figure even in her later years, still very beautiful

  • Aww, how wonderful :)

  • THANKS !!!! for AVA ! WE NEVER FORGERT HER ! LA PLUS BELLE FEMME DU MONDE ! De plus si simple mais tellement tourmentée. I LOVE HER.

  • Thank you for watching!

  • Great tribute!

  • Thank you :)

  • hey what version of fountain of sorrow is this? is still by jackson browne?

  • Yes, it's Jackson Browne :) It's from his "Solo Acoustic, Vol. 1" album!

  • yeah

  • beautiful,beautiful,beautiful

  • Thank you :)

  • ava really was beautiful (she still shines like a star) but there was always a sadness in her eyes xxx

  • Ava Gardner...the most beautiful of all Hollywood stars...the most naturally beautiful....MGM mismanaged her career and at the height of her career she left the country for good. I miss her.

  • @bluefourhotmom Yes blue, she hated MGM and couldn't wait to get out of her contract. In her autobio, Ava said that MGM only cared about people looking pretty for the camera and didn't put any of effort in teaching starlets how to act. She was very insecure about her acting ability, self conscious. She was really angry and embarrassed when the studio decided to dub her voice for Show Boat, I hear she had a very nice voice too. I also think she was a fine actress, very good in many of her roles.

  • Beautiful tribute. I met Ava Gardner once (many years ago) on a park bench in Hyde Park, London of all places !. Although older and not in the best of health, it was only when i got up to leave that she mentioned her name. Bless her heart. A tremendous beauty, older or not...

  • Thank you :) Aww, what a sweet story. I would have loved to have meet her :) She truly was!

  • I love Ava and loved this video tribute.

  • Thank you :)

  • This is such a beautiful tribute. Perfection! love Ava : )

  • Thank you :)

  • Another great tribute, sara. Beautiful choices.

  • Thank you! :)

  • Great job! Do you have a list of the movies you used? Specifically, the ones w/ Clark Gable and Gregory Peck. Those looked really good. Thanks!

  • Thank you :) Yes ofcourse, the one with Clark Gable is Lone Star and the one with Gregory Peck is On the Beach, that one is really good! :) and then the others are, The Killers, Show Boat, Bhowani Junction and The Barefoot Contessa! That's all I think :)

  • Thanks so much! I've seen Ava in a couple movies - Mogambo, The Snows of Kilamanjaro(sp?)- and I really liked her. In Mogambo, I liked her better than Grace Kelly, and Grace is one of my favorites!

  • Yes she's great in Mogambo :) but you should really see On the Beach, she's really good in that one :)

  • Great indeed (: Ava was so beautiful but also underrated as an actress! In the films i've seen with her, think she was very good!

  • Thank you! :) Yes I agree with you, she was underrated!

  • Another great compilation. Jackson Browne has such introspective lyrics. Ava Gardner was born not far from where I live.

  • Thank you :) yes indeed I love his music! Oh do you live in North Carolina? :)

  • Yes. About 60 miles from a place called Smithfield where she was born and is buried. I've never been to it but they have an Ava Gardner museum there too.

  • That's cool :) I would want to see the Ava Gardner museum! :D

  • sara, you might want to do a search: It seems to me that I saw a lot of it posted on the web one time--- maybe on Youtube, maybe elsewhere. If you don't find it, let me know and I'll see whether I can.
