I called over a dozen contacts in 3 countries to try to find underwater casing for a Bolex but responses were generally "No luck": to it being out of my price range or not for rental. Instead I disassembled a DVX100 set to 24P and used the body of the camera inside a small case meant for a VX2000 that one of my professors happened to have, then played with it in post to try to make it look more film-like.
wow it's pretty seamless; I was thinking to myself Whoa! Where do you get an underwater housing for the Bolex!? lol, Who did the music for this, it's pretty radical!
I did the music, ha. Recorded it at my old high school. I actually wrote the music months before I shot the movie and was very lucky that I got it to cut together the way I intended.
