  • Pilipinas, Are we ready for a new flood system like Malaysia have right now ?

Drainage system improvement is not enough we need long term solution not temporary solution

  • Nothing new here, people build houses where rain water goes to. They kept on building houses and the water has nowhere to go to. Ask anybody who is 60 years old and from manila how beautiful it was before urban decay set in.

  • You are right alienpatentoffice. I was born and raised in Manila and was lucky enough to see the city in its pristine and beautiful state. Now, all I see are pavements and asphalt, very few trees or greenery. Now this!!!

I still love the city I where I was born and grew up in, but really sad to see it wasting away.

  • I still dream of the way it was. Clean and wide open spaces. Lots of greenery. Windy and cold. The air was fresh and nice to breath. Waters on rivers was as clear as water in an aquarium. Fruit trees abound in the neighborhood and is free for the taking. I use to catch crabs at manila bay breakwater. We also harvest "tahong" aswell as go fishing there. I was just a kid then and saw how it all deteriorated.

  • You must be very old to remember that ..... I think the Pasig has been a sewer for at least 50 years

  • its already wasted.

  • that's how New Orleans exactly was...they built house in a bowl!
