We bring in around £100K per annum but we are of the opinion that we can't afford children. It is NOT your 'God given right' to have kids, you have a social responsibility to have them only when you can provide for them yourself.
I can understand the need for a one child policy in China. They have over 1.3 billion people and their country isn't even as big as the continental U.S. And they don't even have close to as much living space. It sucks for people in China, but you can't just have the population expand beyond control. If you let everyone have 5 kids or more, imagine the population in just 50 years. China couldn't handle that. Other countries such as India are heading towards the same thing.

Along with this we must have a moratorium on immigration, it seems absurd to be importing foreign labour at a time when we have the highest unemployment for 15 years. Obviously that wouldn't include refugees, we have a duty to help people after all, just no economic immigration for the time being.
We must reduce the burden somehow.

Personally, I think you should be 'means tested' before you're allowed to have children. If you can provide for them, and you want them, have them. My wife and myself do not have children. We bring in around £100K per annum but we are of the opinion that we can't afford children. It is NOT your 'God given right' to have kids, you have a social responsibility to have them only when you can provide for them yourself.

I can understand the need for a one child policy in China. They have over 1.3 billion people and their country isn't even as big as the continental U.S. And they don't even have close to as much living space. It sucks for people in China, but you can't just have the population expand beyond control. If you let everyone have 5 kids or more, imagine the population in just 50 years. China couldn't handle that. Other countries such as India are heading towards the same thing.

Yes, I do believe it's that simple. Leave it to man to complicate things that really aren't that complicated. I'll take a person with common sense over an "educated" person any day of the week. College is useful for some things. Example: if my arm is falling off, I want a college trained doctor to fix it. Useful for some things, not needed for most. Just in case you're wondering; I have two 4 yr degrees and still have these beliefs.

Critical thinking and research will make truths apparent to anyone who's willing to participate. The sad part is, the masses are more concerned about who's on American Idol than what's going on around them. Those who don't want to know deserve what they get. The masses are ignorant and government educated. Meanwhile, the small percentage of people who really understand and question issues have to suffer.
