  • hey will can you tell me some tips for the backhand backswing like u did in the video "more on the forehand backswing"? thanks.

  • great video. like usual

  • Hello I wanted to know by your knowledge you might have your own exercises are good to have to do fitness exercises tennis sprints and what can I do with my father I will go as fast as I can

  • Zzzzz

  • will i grow taller if i play tennis regularly ?

  • Not sure why, but I've noticed many of the Russian / Eastern Euro players have a gap in between their hands when they grip and hit the two-hand backhand. Sasha Jones has it if you watch her grip. I think its to emphasize more left arm in the stroke.

  • I LUV TENNIS!!! THIS is SOOOoOOOO informative!!!

  • graet thank you

  • wow that young guy is a great trainer^^

i learned a lot in 10 minutes i couldnt figure out myself in 1 whole match...

  • Thx Will...on ur future vids pls don't do the flash segways. The softer blurred transitions are easier on the eyes and not so annoying.

  • Heh I'll see what I can do =)

  • @FYB2007 Do you recommend the hands being separated on the handle or on top of each other for the backhand?

  • Thnx for the videos.

  • FYB rocks..your videos have every technique that a tennis player require.Thanx man.

  • good for you

  • FYB your the best!!

I need help though, when you hit the ball, you hit it when your racket is half way through, not all the way at the back?

  • FYB

    you're a tennis nerd

  • you know it!

  • FYB

i have posted my tennis strokes on youtube can you see what must be better on my strokes.?i am an adventage player

    greetz

  • It's called being passionate about something

  • Like you can do any better. Your just jealous . . . .

  • FYB,

In between wimbledon and french open, you should do a video on hitting backhands that bounce high, it is probably the most difficult shot in tennis.

  • you are the best

  • My dad always tells me that dont hit the ball, push the ball because my back hand (and forehand) doesn't have a strong, long, and low hits. I see several people at the tennis center i go to hit the ball and looks as if effortless but the ball travels long and strong. What is wrong with my swing, is it the contact point?

  • I am new at tennis but every time i hit the tennis ball it eithers go upwards or hits the net can you tell me why so i can fix my mistakes?

  • Comment removed

  • My son Felipe has a weak backhand...I have told hi that the main problem of lack of pace is that his contact point is not good..he doesnt hit the ball on the rise, besides...his follow through is too short....I mean he loses contct with the ball pretty early..can that really make his backhand weak?

    thanks

  • you've got to have a correct contact point to hit properly. you also need to extend through the ball when you hit to generate pace -- simply being in the correct racket / body position at contact won't make you hit w/sufficient power. try emphasizing that Felipe swing through the ball and extend into the court after he hits. let me know how that works.

  • hello FYB2007

do you ever played challenger tournaments or sattelite tournaments.?

    greetz.

  • I have seen some videos from you guys...and they are the best on the web. I show FYB vidoes to my kids almost everyday..and they enjoy 'em a lot...once they are practicing..they try to remember every single detail of the videos...thanks for being so helpul and for giving us this amazing job.

I share these video as much as I can..and everybody likes them.

    thanks again. keep it up

  • hey macro thanks for the kind words! i appreciate it a lot. let me know how your kids progress! -- will

  • is someone good at tennis?

  • My problem is my backhand most of the time it's so very thin....

  • When it is necessary to jump, because I seen many pro players like Simon Gillies jump sometimes when they performance a backhand swing??

  • Part of the reason players jump is to control their contact heights. If the ball is too high -- above your natural contact height -- that's a good time to jump. But be careful! It's not an easy move to execute.

  • You are the best tennis instructor on the web. Forget about anything ive ever said. You are so informative. Exceptional tennis videos

  • how does one add HD view?

  • Very nice video. Make more. These are very informative!

  • Hey can i use a western grip?
