  • $89.99 on amazon brand new guys! I just purchased one myself today!

  • When you plug in your headphones onto the microphone, can you hear the sound coming from a game or song or any type of sound through your headset while still hearing your voice? I think the term for it is, does it count as a monitor/sound output device?

  • When you plug the headphones into the bottom of the mic can you aswell hear the music coming from the computer?

  • I just took the foam cap from the box that goes on the base of the stand and set the microphone on that. It eliminated most of the hum from my laptop, which is 3 inches away. The most obvious solution is usually the first overlooked.

  • How does blue yeti compare with Samson G Track (which is a mono mike) for voice over recordings? Does the stereo feature in blue yeti make a big difference for voice overs? Which is better for voice overs?

  • 92$ on amazon Brand NEW!

  • THANK you for discussing about shock mount compatibility. I was liking the features a lot but the fact that you can't use it on a condenser mic clip/mount means you can't attach a shock mount, drives me away from it.

  • I was wondering if the blue yeti can sustain screaming and yelling without peeking? I'm currently casted in an online parody that requires me to scream and yell a lot of my lines, but my mic peeks badly when I get too loud, that or it echoes.

  • @narusasu On your current microphone do you have a compressor and limited set? You may just need to tweak the setting of your current microphone some and it'll save you the $150 in buying the yeti. Feel free to send me a message and I'll help you out getting your current microphone working for you to your needs.

  • @narusasu turn down the gain when you scream :)

  • Blue DOES have a shock mount that supports the yeti now. I'm not sure how long it's been out, but it's on their website. It's called "The Radius".

  • @phonzeh That's correct, since this video has been shot they released the Radius as a shock mount. When the video was released no shock mount existed, and according to Blue's PR, they had no plans on designing one for the Yeti. I am good to see they changed their stance on that though.

  • @phonzeh I think that's for the XLR version not the USB version.

  • This is a great review. I'd like to reiterate that the Yeti USB microphone is an outstanding choice for the audio enthusiast. The clarity and accuracy it provides is almost TOO accurate and that being the case, I must also agree that a well designed shock mount would push this epic mic over the edge of awesome into an abyss of near-perfection. The best we can do for now is build our own. We're all nerds here, right? So let's do what we do best and get it built ourselves! Let's share our designs.

  • would this be a good mic for rapping?

  • @Charliedastoopid yes it works for recording metal vocals so rap should be fine

  • How do you know that the noise is picked up by conduction that a shock mout would eliminte? Did you pick a pattern and orientation that could minimize the cross equipment contamination. It would have been nice to see you troublesoot this and see what is causing it.

Robert Rose over at the juciedLink channel "Rode VideoMic Tests - picking up noise/interference " shows how.

  • I'm joking man, nice review

  • dang, what was causing this dam noise on your desk? your vibrator?

  • could i record my guitar amp with this?

    thanks :)

  • Awesome review. How did you get that first shot of the rotating mic?

  • @LeonNLK Thanks man, I built a mororized rotating turntable to get the effect

  • Thanks for the straight up review. You're the only one so far that had some sort of criticism that was legitimate.

  • so say you want to record the video of playing and singing with an acoustic guitar and upload it on the computer....how do you sync the sound with the yeti together with the video on the video camera?

  • @nickfromCO You can easily do that with whatever video editing software you are using, it would just take a bit of moving the clips frame by frame to get it to sync up perfectly. I would suggest getting two microphones though, if you have the Yeti micing you or your guitar, the video audio will definitely suffer in comparison.

  • should i get this or the Audio technica 2020 for singing? thanks

  • @Toyeboy89 I have not used the 2020, but I have heard great things about it. I would only recommend this mic for vocals if you have it on a mic stand to reduce the surface noise that you'll experience with this microphone.

  • @LastStopReviews is it recommended for voice acting/dubs

  • @Toyeboy89 Might be a bit late but there is another microphone called the Editors Keys SL150 which is around the same price and I personally think is better. Just check it out if you haven't bought anything yet.

  • great non-biased review. thumbs up. Im gonna get this fosho

  • Can i record drums with this?

  • @lumberx01 definitely

  • turn the gain down a lil bit and you shouldn't hear it that much...

  • @BRUTE4THELOSE Even with the gain at a lower setting it will be present once you do any post production and normalize the clip.

  • can i record vocals and other musical instrumants with the Yeti?

  • @DJZANUDA vocals yes, i found trying to mic a guitar amp gave a harsh sound, but acoustic worked well.

  • It's only $100 on Amazon.com great time to buy it and I am going to get it soon!! Check out my channel please I do reviews as-well.

  • Sincerely I think this microphone doesn't performs great as people say. I mean, from this video I not impressed with quality, there's lot's of noise on the background. I have a Blue snowball and I can't notice any difference in terms of sound quality when using the cardioid mode. Can you recommend other USB mic for a better sound quality?

  • Anyone know if you can use a traditional mic stand with the yeti?

  • @Evanmileus yes you can.

  • i just place the mic on a piece of carpet on the table/desk...i would think any piece of fabric with some substance (towel, carpet, etc etc) would absorb any surface noise problems...

  • Hi! Good review, but where can you get the stand? Thanks!

  • @RTvdHeide the stand comes with the microphone.

  • @LastStopReviews

    Ahhw men, It didn't.

  • well ill be making commentarys on my call of duty videos, do you suggest it for that as it will be siting on the desk but still > should i get it

  • i didn't hear anything on this video.

  • great review Nick. very professional.

  • very good review

  • hi man..nice review =] im suscribing but i need help umm i rap nd i would like to get e very good quality mic dat would work for what i do :).. so if u could tell me which would be the best mic for me i would appreciate it =] thanx

  • @1994edgarcuevas When it comes to microphones that suit your voice what I really recommend is find a local music store, I personally like guitar center, and just test out the mics in store. A lot of mics will look the same on paper but sound entirely different.

Whats your price range, also will you be using this just in a studio setting or will you want to use this for performances too?

  • Clear, concise, reasoned review. I liked it.

  • That mic is HOT!

  • Fantastic Review

  • Very professional review Nick, you really stepped up your game here. I really want a mic, the sound is great.

  • Great review, I love the turn style and black back drop. Good voice over too

  • great review

  • great review Nick! this was very professional! :)

  • Hey. This is the greatest review I have ever seen! How did you do the rotating effect? I really LOVE that effect!

  • @LetsTalkPC It's not an effect, I spent a weekend and built a turntable specifically for spinning product for reviews. If you want I can throw up a tutorial in a few days.

  • @LastStopReviews Wow! Nice job, a video would be good if its ok with you?

  • @LastStopReviews i didnt ask the qeustion but yes a tutorial would be great

  • @thecreativegeek Okay it'll probably be a few weeks, I may just buy the parts to build a second one, but I'll try to get something together.

  • did you use a green screen ?

  • @COD4fanboi No, i wish I had a green screen, I'm not that professional yet lol

  • This review just blew my mind.

  • great mic i had mine for about a month and the usb connector on the bottom started to act up cause of how it is wired to the bottom and the wire gose out the back i talked to blue and they said they had had a report of this happening alot and they are going to fix it free

  • @MRBIGGIEMAC Sorry about the USB port, that's awesome though that their CS is taking care of it and actually address that there is an issue.

  • @LastStopReviews yep i agree
