I know Muhammad is not the comforter, but I also know Jesus was referring to another one like him. He would not have refer to the hs as another. Jesus said that this paraclete would convict the world of sin, well, this has never happened, he was to revealed things that Jesus couldn't reveal to fhe disciples because they were not ready to bare, this has never happened because no one knows yet what this things were that Jesus was speaking of, if you know them, then please tell me what they are. H
@cmpresents ,, The promise of the Comforter was fulfilled to His disciples in Acts chapter 2. Read it, He/ The Comforter is God's Holy Spirit Whom Jesus said we must be born of. Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.Ac 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit
@cmpresents It was a promise made TO HIS DISCIPLES, AND it was fulfilled here;Ac 2:1 ¶ When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.
@GodsSeer Why don't you read what Jesus said about the Paraclete. The day of Pentecost is not the coming of the Paraclete. How can you even say that, it makes no sense.
@cmpresent,s ,It makes no sense to those who are perishing as it is written; 2Co 4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, Mt 13:11 He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
@cmpresents the title para/klhtoj for the Holy Spirit, it is also applied to Jesus Christ. Jesus is implicitly identified as a para/klhtoj in John 14:16 and explicitly in 1 John 2:1. He is GOD The Holy Spirit. The title para/klhtoj for the Holy Spirit is unique to the Fourth Gospel and therefore, enhances the Christian understanding of the Holy Spirit.
@GodsSeer You have not answered the question, and this is typical of christians. You need to answer the question. Forget about titles, answer the question.
@cmpresents He shows us things to come, He does not speak of Himself, He IS Spirit, not flesh, He is HOLY ONLY GOD is HOLY. He is like Jesus in that way of Holiness and power.Joh 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He is GOD, The Holy Spirit Who spoke to Moses and all the Prophets, who were made HOLY by His being in them.
@GodsSeer Sir, the Paraclete/Spirit of truth will convict the world regarding sin, he will reveal all truth, he will show you things to come. If this is what it means, tell me what was Jesus speaking off. How can the HS not speak on his own authority if he's God. What are you saying.
@cmpresents , In Genesis, It is written; Ge 1:26 ¶ Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;Certainlky YHWH does not credit ANGELS with creation. God is tripart as Humans are, Spirit, soul, body. Your spirit, which is in you, is not as obvious as your body which you can see and feel. Your soul, is the seat of your emotions, but your spirit is as GOD'S in the background, It is that spirit of man that communes with the Holy Spirit of GOD AND KNOWS Him, worships HIM.
@cmpresents ,It has happened and is still happening. The Holy Spirit IS the same as the Comforter, Teacher, counselor, miracle worker, prophesier, an power of YHWH. He shows us things to come, reveals the hidden mysteries to those who are elect, gives us power. Jesus told the disciples the Holy Spirit “lives with you and will be in you” (John 14:17).Holy Spirit moves inside of us (1 Corinthians 6:19; 2 Timothy 1:14).Jesus “indwells” Christians, lives in us by His Spirit” (Roman 8:10-11).
@cmpresents Joh 17:21 "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
@cmpresents What is the Paraclete supposed to accomplish? He does convict of sin, especially those who still have a conscience that smites them when they sin. He does Comfort the Saints, and He shows us things to come. He does not speak of Himself, but He does reveal Christ to us who are Born of GOD.
@cmpresents The Holy Spirit is Who convicts of Sin. He reveals that we are not worthy of YHWH as we are in sin. The Father is like Jesus Christ in that they are ONE in essence. The Holy Spirit is like Jesus. Jesus promised His disciples “another Counselor,” the Spirit (John 14:16-17). The Greek word translated “another” means “another of the same kind.” Jesus promised us a supernatural Counselor who is just like Himself! He is GOD in us who have been born of GOD, born again as Jesus said.
@GodsSeer You are telling me that everytime a person becomes born again, God sends down a spirit into a person, an entity, what are you saying. The Paraclete will convict the WORLD, not you, not christians. Jesus didn't not promised a supernatural counselor to invade your body, come on. You need to think logically.
@cmpresents Yes, As Jesus Christ said; Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."Joh 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' Muslims and all sinners were born into the world in a body/flesh. Christians have been born again into YHWH'S Kingdom by HIS Holy Spirit Whom we receive at conversion.
@GodsSeer Ok, let me ask you this. How do you have faith, where does faith comes from. Jesus said, my words are spirit. If Jesus words are spirit, then tell me, what is a spirit.
@cmpresents Ga 3:2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? The Holy Spirit is received by Faith. Jesus said; Lu 11:13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"
@cmpresents Having God's Holy Spirit in us is also how we will be raised from the dead on the day of Resurrection; Joh 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.Ro 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,Ro 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
@cmpresents Ro 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
@GodsSeer The spirit of God raised Jesus from the dead, but not from literal death my brother, from spiritual death. Jesus does not give us physcial imortality, that preposterous, he gives us spiritual imortality, that is eternal life to him. You are thinking carnaly and it will not let you grow, I used to think like you, but no more. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, but when I grew up, I left childish things behind. I can help to see something completely better than what you see.
@cmpresents , Oh but He did literally die. Have you not studied the shroud of Turin and saw the scientific evidence? If you deny His blood, you are deceived. 2Pe 2:1 ¶ But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them,
@cmpresents Having GOD'S Spirit in us, is what changes us to be like GOD; He convicts when we sin, He teaches us all things TRUE. This is how Jesus “indwells” Christians, and it would be correct to say “Jesus lives in us by His Spirit” (Roman 8:10-11). This is how HE saves us. It is a fulfillment of the prophesy. IN OLD TESTAMENT, YHWH SAID; Eze 36:27 "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
@cmpresents Every prophesy has not been fulfilled completely, some have completely 100% accurately, some have partly and some are yet to be fulfilled, such as Christs' return. When Christ returns, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, They will be convicted 100%.
@cmpresents He, The Holy Spirit, also convicts me of sin when I stumble and sin. My conscience smites me until I confess, repent and make restitution. He is the one Whom Sanctifies me or what Jesus calls, baptized in Holy Spirit'' . Mr 1:8 "I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."
@GodsSeer When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. Answer this text.
@cmpresents. It does not say'' He will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin'' It says HE will convict the world of sin. He will convince or convict the world of sin of being guilty of sin. That is, he will so apply the truths of God to men's own minds as to convince them by fair and sufficient arguments that they are sinners, and cause them to know this. This is always the nature of conviction. It does not say that sinners will receive the conviction. They DO know they are guilty
The Comforter is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the Bible:-
