  • @sy960 Not extreme exercise, I did bike once a week for 30 mins to pick up my daughter, I walked a around a lot on campus and with my dogs, but thats about it. You really can't exercise a lot

  • Did you gain back any weight? How much? Was the gain just "water weight"? I'm wondering how much fat is actually lost during a fast. How much of the weight loss is water and muscle?

  • @jonathanparis1988 You lose about 80% fat, some water weight and some muscle. After 21 days I was fitter than ever though, I did weight training after that and did not notice any muscle decrease from during my fast! Watch my newer videos for updates

  • @DontFUckWitUSA There is no rule, but I drank close to a gallon. Basically drink whenever you are thirsty (or hungry in the beginning), yet you should at LEAST drink 2 liters. Drink distilled water, no mineral added water. I'm no doctor, so if you have concerns please see your physician.

  • @Tupoc4181 The first 2 days are the hardest, the rest is a breeze. Why don't you start with me on Feb 15th. I am going on a fast and then we can fast together, encourage each other? (watch my newest video for more info)

  • @AweakenedKing Since you commented on this video you can see I did just fine! I didn't eat 6 days before that, only drank juice, so for about 30 days I didn't eat anything solid. And I could have gone much longer still. If you drink water and you are in a healthy state, you can easily go 40-50 days without food (if you have fat reserves like me ;) Of course always consult a doctor before doing something this extreme!

  • I got to 12 days of a water fast and I was getting terrible chest pains and as soon as I ate normal food the chest pains stopped. This time I have decided to go on a 7 day liver, colon and gall bladder detox with raw fruit juice and enemas and then go on an extended water fast. I think the fact that I was and am very toxic made me suffer for 12 days with the water fast.

  • @maggerdaiser Sorry to hear that, but you are correct the water fast does have the best detox effect and if your body has poisons stored it will release those which can cause body aches. Maybe in your case it's better to go on a master cleanse or just juice fasting. Then in the future you can get the "rest" out by water fasting.

  • Hey thanks for the advice! 4 Litres? wow, that's a challenge, i have to admit, i drink a couple/ three glasses a day at most, and i have been this way for years, but i will definitely try and drink that much.. i am guessing when i am not eating, drinking water will be easier, thanks a lot :)

    

  • @ArtyAdamCS Well when you eat you get water through a lot of your food, so you don't need to drink as much, but when you are on a water fast you should really drink that much, your body will need it! Keep me posted!

  • @ArtyAdamCS Yes if you travel just bring sufficient water, per day at least drink 4 liters or a gallon. Glad to hear you are interested in water fasting!

  • @freshaashiq I am not a doctor, but I would not quit because of headaches, your body is switching over from using food as energy to using fats and proteins. Your brain especially is affected by this, because it needs a lot of energy quickly. In the beginning you will have more headaches. Another fact is that you are starting a detoxing process and when toxins are released you might have body aches and headaches. If you have unusual pain please see a doctor.

  • @MoonRader85 You lose a little bit of muscle, but if you have fat reserves like I did, those are used at a much higher rate.

  • @Opleda Yes, after about 3 days your body has used up all the glycogen (stored sugars) and switches over into Ketosis, where fat is broken down. Fat has VERY high energy and you should actually feel pretty good on the fast, you just can't do any exercise where you need energy quickly or prolonged. You could probably get down to 155 lbs in that time, but depends on your body. But if you plan to eat big Christmas don't do it, you need time for your body to get used to liquids and then slowly food.

  • i'm on day 3 of the water fast. i plan on doing it for 30 days. i just stumbled upon your videos during my lunch break at work so i haven't been able to watch all of them. did you weigh yourself everyday? idk if i should keep it a surprise until the end.

  • After a long fast, your intestines are not ready for food, they have shut down completely and it would be very difficult on your body to try to start it up and digest solid food. Not to mention you should start out slowly again to reduce the weight gain.

  • What happens if you break your fast and eat something solid, like your skip the juice stuff???

  • @kimdukh I worked full time and was a full time senior in University, it worked fine for me. You can just give it a try and if it affects you too much, you can always stop the fast! Let me know how it goes, rooting for you!

  • i have a quetsion what kind of water did you use distilled or spring and how much water did you drink per day and how was it using the bathroom any suggestions on what i should do to use the bathroom during this im 5,11 and i weigh 240 pounds

  • @Princej4eva I used reverse osmosis water because we already had that system installed. You can use distilled water, no problem, just don't use water that has minerals added. You have to drink a lot more, but I didn't notice going to the bathroom that much more, pretty normal. You will notice that you don't have to poop after about 2 days, I maybe had 2 bowl movements during the 3 weeks. Doing an enema might be good though, which will clean out the colon.

  • This is really inspiring i am 16 years old i am about to turn 17 i am 6'4 and i weight 199 pounds i got some extra weight and i would like to lose it should i do this? I am fascinated with the changes in just 21 days very impressive man keep it up.

  • @MegaAnime94 Well thank you, I would suggest a max of 7 days for you, because you don't really have that much "extra" weight. Keep in mind, that the 2nd, or 3rd day could be tough, but the rest should be easy. Let me know how it goes!

  • Hi! I had been low carb for weeks and was already in ketosis (used Ketone Test Strips to confirm) for a few weeks when I decided to embark on my own Water Fast 3 days ago. In the last 4 days I have lost 10 lbs! I just want you to know that your posts really inspired me. I started at 194 and want to get down to 165 (my high school weight). I'm 28 yrs old, male.
