but developers of xda forums make something like custom firmware called Cyanogenmod with some improvements over the stock relase of google and have version to almost all android phones..

Looks like the great smart phone war has been won. I'll bet its just gonna be a few idiots crawling out the woodwork to shout about ios.

I think Microsoft will overtake ios as they also have a do-what-you-like mentality. You'll probably be able to run exe files soon & install desktop based programs. Especially now they're leaving hardware to Nokia.

IPhone will focus on selling to chicks who want to dress it up & don't want anything that requires any thinking which apparently, Android does.

Google screwed up by making Android updates done by the carriers instead of Google or the phone manufacturers. The carriers have no desire to provide updates, they want you to buy a new phone and sign new contracts. Huge mistake they need to fix.
