I remember reading about this technology about ten years ago in the "New Scientist", albeit in a very different context! As much as I love the invention, I am already struggling to cope with mega billboards and flashing TV screens, how will I cope with strange "inner" voices?? There must be human rights that can protect us from the never ending ploys of advertisement and its maddening plans?? I am off to mars!

I think this is the technology behind "voice to skull" torture. The idea that soon you can buy a TV set with one of this takes all the secrecy from this and no doctor will give schizophrenia diagnosis to the poor victims of this kind of electronic torture.

I'd definitely fuck with everybody with this tek, I'd aim it at cops and give them a piece of my mind right when some skaters walked by, just so the cop would go off on their ass.

I'd aim it at old black women sitting on their porch swings and say, "get out of my house" in a demonic voice.

An irritating voice to a sleeping baby in Walmart. That ultrasonic sound that drives dogs crazy aimed at K-9 units in the back of the police cruiser.

I think every house-hold can have 2 TVs in the same sitting room played simultaneously and one TV's viewer won't be disturbing the othe TVs viewer.
