@minhounou euh...Louis XVI mesurait 1m93 (ou en tout cas plus de 1m90) , c'était un vrai géant pour l'époque. Je ne vois pas trop quel sorte de mal il a fait à la France. S'il s'est fait exécuter c'est parce que sa mort était "nécessaire" pour les républicains les plus extrêmes, et non pas parce qu'il était coupable de quoi que ce soit. (quoi que son sort s'est joué à une voix qu'on aime attribuer à Philippe-Egalité, son propre cousin).

His grandfather Louis XV of france was the king who plunged the country into dispair. by the time Louis XVI was crowned it was too late. @Pugwash81 Yes so true, I don't knew if you like Japanese manga, but I saw a japan anime name ''The Rose of Versailles'', it's about French revolution, Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette,and lady oscar, it was based on true history event and you can watch the 40 episodes of this comics.

it's wonderful manga about History of France. the best ever. but so sad in the end....

@willlibuster Louis XVI tried to make new laws but wasn't very obeyed by his ministers. Blame them but not that man who just wished to do his best for the sake of his kingdom. When people were starving in 1775, he ordered bakers to make bread less espensive. That is just an exemple. He was not a bad guy. He had to resolve problems which already existed during Louis XV's time.

Very nice! Louis was a very good man that did not deserve what happened to him. The Revolution and Reign of Terror were far worse than anything l'ancien regime could do. Many, many people died for nothing.
