That's great I love the people who call in and have an question or two I answe them and then they say thank you you did great. But calls like this one make me alittle made cause I get paid by the min but they take the time I spend on the phones then devide it by the calls and if its more then 430 seconds per call my pay goes down. So these calls are nice but sometimes they do a bit more harm then good haha
this discussion was empathetic and helped to improve the customer care worker's mental health (it made her day, at least), but zoomdoggle's story 3:40 and the rhyme game were unnecessary - the story was not focused enough on her, and the real-world point he made & the game he introduced prevented her from doing her job (without a good reason). Refers to dirtydeedz161's post
I work in a Microsoft callcenter since 2007, I've never had a call like this and indeed, when the customer is not swearing we are not allowed to hang up hahaha...
On the other hand, we do have a target when it comes to average handling time -LOL- poor Sally :-) Personally I would have said: Sir do you have a Microsoft related issue? When he doesn't I would've just explained to him that there are other people waiting that do need our help. And ofcourse thank him for the call :-) Short/Sharp/Sexy#
I work for Sprint Advance Tech Support. Sprint really good. I don't care for the stupid india fuckers. They are really dumb. Only because of the dumb questions they ask us and things they scew up on the bill. We need customer service in America witch sprint is thinking about doing.!!!
i work for a call center and if someone like u called me i'd would really release the conversation! the problem is that because of the company's policies we're not allow to do that! but i'm sure that that girl thought after u hang up WHAT AN IDIOT!
Thank you from one of your generally under and un-appreciated customer care representatives. Your example made me strive to remember the good rather than the bad at the end of the day.
It's not a glamorous job, but as they say, someone has to answer the phones.
Agreed. I work for T-Mobile so I know what you're talking about. It feels great to get these calls when you get those angry callers all day. And it's not our fault that they're angry most of the time, yet, we still get yelled at. I wish there was an automated system they could yell at for a while.
This is amazing. :D I used to work for a box office, and some of the patrons who called in would be just awful. Every now and then there would be a nice one, and they would COMPLETELY make my day. :D

Some people need to get through because they have actual problems.
Calling just to say thanks just holds up the lines.

I think I might do this and add it as a response. Think I should call Microsoft?
