  • wow they have some fruity ass fixies :/

  • it sucks that you can't freewheel with a fixie. seems like you can never take a rest. i think a freewheeler with coaster brake gives you the same braking control, the only thing you miss in comparison is the traction/feel advantage of a fixie.

  • @gp4nut you don't have to apply force to the pedals all the time. You can just follow the pedals = pseudo coasting.

  • biggest gang of suckas in the city

  • cool

  • you're all stupid go have fun on a bike.

  • 0:13

    A FUCKING ASIAN DOG! :D

  • @THISISNOTURS HOLY SHIT !!!

  • @THISISNOTURS WHOA WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?!?!

  • That guy on top said that Fix gear is faster than a gear bike............... ok ><

Its no the bike, its the rider man.

  • @Bomenix14 well no shit..... but the moment of the rear wheel carrying the crankset forward makes it easier to maintain a high rpm on flats compared to a freewheel.

  • @SmoothSkating well no shit.... lol.

    You have a fixie?

  • @Bomenix14 no

    I have a track bike.

  • @SmoothSkating oh so you have a track bike with a freewheel?

  • @nilo2209 What the fuck are you retarded?

  • @SmoothSkating no I just thought it was stupid that you said no to having a fixie if you have one.

  • @nilo2209 TRACK BIKE. Not fixie.

  • @SmoothSkating it's a fixie nomatter how much you hate the word. Unless it has a freewheel.

  • @nilo2209 Technically it's a track bike but feel free to have whatever ignorant opinion you would like.

  • @SmoothSkating technically it could be a track bike with a freewheel and that's what it looks like when you deny it being a fixie - also known as a fixed gear bike. I pretty much know all there is to know about this stuff, but nice try.

  • @nilo2209 Wow just stop right now. I've been track racing for 6 years. I would destroy you racing, and knowledge wise.

  • @SmoothSkating very well, then stop pretending to be stupid just because you don't like the word "fixie".

  • @nilo2209 how many gear feet is a 52-16 on a 700cx23 tire wit ha 172.5mm crank and how many rpms will i spin at 32mph? i mean, you said you know all there is to know. but, i bet you could tell me how i could fasten playing cards in my rear spokes....couldnt ya...

  • @MetricHotrodsdotcom yes I could. Your point is what?

  • haaha nice song

  • the japan fixed gear scene is SO much different than the american scene. much less pretentious and all about fun... just the way i like it.

  • @ktypicalday i concur. not one keo

  • If you've ever been to asia and have seen their driving you'd realize the real fixie trick here is being alive!!!!! FACT!

  • Hehehe, They are all colorful.

  • lol.. Asian chill-out fixie style @ big city , why not ? Good roads btw :)))

  • You shouldn't ride amongst peds.

  • so colorful O_O

  • @BANGITsav you should see my fixie lol O_____O

  • Worst 4 minutes of my life, all you guys do is ride around and sometimes skid. Learn some bar spins or maybe going backwards...

  • best credit roll ever!

  • @sk8rdi1996 aerospokes are a joke. lol.

  • cool stuff ... i have mine hehe

  • cool stuff i have mine hehe

  • byfar some of the ugliest bikes ive seen.

  • fixies are siiick!!!

  • sigh alright. im flying back to japan to get a bike. they probably will have one my size... x..x

  • they go slow as fuck..

  • wow fixie and the city

  • great fixies im barly getting into it

  • DANG! You ride nice fixies! LOOOVE the white and pink one!!!

  • =[ i suffer going up SF hills on my single gear.. ex fixie. This guy on his fixie flew right past me up four hills before I could muster up five feet of distance. t..t

  • Japanese people...

  • i'd like to ride with you guys ! straight osaka !

  • did u guys really ride from new york to LA

  • Arrested development nice!

  • Comment removed

  • VVVV-- judgemental fgt

  • @teo829 now if it was some asshole in nyc walking with the bike,or doing lame tricks with with bike shorts i would say ues hipster losers, but these people are riding them because there fun to ride good workout to.

  • how long do you guys keep your riser bars? i just got new ones and am switching from bullhorns. i have ourys and i don't want to cut my risers too short that i can't turn or trackstand or skid or anhything.

  • The guy at 3:30 what kind of light is that in his front wheel. or is that one different colored spoke?

  • @xxzkIlLjOyzxx its a different spoke

  • alright..you guys fucking suck. The comments, not the "n'sync of the far east fixie crew."

  • i love how the all have the same backpack

  • no helmets???????

  • fixies arent faster. i ride and prefer a fixed gear. but its because its a fun ride and tricks are easily(or more easily) pulled off being you have total controll in your feet instead of feet and hand brake.

  • that ray charles toy is creepy, he must be so proud

    of his legacy. sick vid!!

  • beverly hills cop

  • you have more mobility with a fixie, feels that you are attached to the bike so can turn corners , weave in an out 'quicker' avoiding cars etc...

  • nope dieterlino. its a challenge riding theese bikes from a to b everyday. the beautiful simplicity of theese bikes is unmatched in todays world.

atleast we arnt out selling crack or robbing stores. my hobby is my fixed.

  • yo anyone know where i could find a sick messenger bag? and the video is sick

  • This sucks, they didn't even do anything cool.

  • I LOVE riding my fixie, but I hate all the people that do it for fashion and trends. I love mine for the simplicity, fun, speed, and danger of a fixed gear.

  • I ride mine becayse i feel like its an extention of my body

  • That's also a great feeling.

  • well said

  • are you kidding me? I just outlined why I'm NOT one of those fags. fixed gears actually go a lot faster than geared bikes with a freewheel on flats. and it's not all about being practical all the time. it's about fun. I mean look at surfing, it's not practical at all but it's fucking fun.

now go watch polish dance videos, bitch.

  • aw, don't cry.

i'm sure you have a good reason to ride fixie. it makes you look cool, hip and trendy AND it is faster than a geared bike with a freewheel on flats...

  • you're pathetic. you have a fixie video in your favorites. have fun in fucking Lebanon you piece of shit. don't expect me to respond to your next message.

  • well I'm sure you won't - you've got nothing left to say, hoe.

  • im not arguing, but how are fixed gears faster? they only gave one gear, and you can't rest your legs, you have to keep them moving with the pedals, so it wastes energy. so how are they faster?

  • @actionjackson9000 Well, it's all about momentum. If you matched two similarly strong riders one full geared and one fixed, the fixed rider would be flat out faster because of less weight and when you ride fixed you get into a groove with your legs that allows you to keep your forward momentum going unlike when you coast where you lose momentum from everything you touch (pavement, wind, gravity). If you were riding cross country you'd want full gear.

  • @m0thersuperi0r76 Whats the weight diff? the geared rider could take a crap before their comparative race and make up the weight gain! LOL

  • its weight. and when u have coast, you don't put as much momentum into each pedal stride then you would with a fixed gear because the cranks do not continue.

  • I don't think you have to keep pedaling.

  • @danielmr2 if it is a fixed gear you do need to keep pedaling the one that you dont is the freewheel.

  • @danielmr2 go ahead and ride one, stop pedaling... and see how you fair lol

  • @actionjackson9000 they're not. Plain and simple. AND LET THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW IT!!!! with that said I absoluteley love riding mine. As Smooth Skating said before he/she went on a tirade; its all about having fun. Can't explain why, just try a fixie and you'll know.

  • @SmoothSkating yes. including the surfing part. ftw.

  • @SmoothSkating yup, riding a fixie is about having a good time!

  • @SmoothSkating your my hero :D and would you consider a fixie witha freewheel a real fixie ?

  • @mrnicekevin obviously not. that would be a single-speed.....

  • @SmoothSkating

Fixie faster than geared, i japan is on the other side of the world, but you actually got other psyhics? Wow.

  • @SmoothSkating "fixed gears actually go a lot faster than geared bikes with a freewheel on flats." really? how fast can you go on flat and how long can you maintain that speed? im not tryin to stir anything up here just challenging this statement. i understand the fixie craze but i still hate it. the only reason i see for a commuter to have one is if they are actually a messenger or if your training for a velodrome event. i just think they are dangerous in cities. again, just a challenge :)

  • @blahsfemmer 69mph for 69 miles. haha i have no idea i was high when i wrote that....

  • Dude shut the fuck up. fixies are for the simplicity and mobilitie. my bike is like 4 pounds.

  • Ignorance. Ever here of the term less is more.

  • you mean hear. yes. but when it comes to a bike that entirely depends on the task one has in mind for it.

  • Anyone doing it for fashion and trends will either be converted into real fixie riders, or they will stop riding fixed and jump on to the next trend. The fixie is not just a trend anymore, it's a global urban subculture and it ain't going away ever. Instead, it grows bigger each day as more people try and get addicted to the fixed gear feeling. Every time someone chooses the bike over the scooter or car, society wins.

  • The Japanese always have the coolest fixies!

  • the rider not being 'hip' is a statement, they are saying i change and create what i want- not dressing accordingly to the bikes aesthetic means they see themselves as perfect, and also they dont want to look stupid all dressed up- riding there bikes around town.

    after all fixed gear is all about k e e p i n g i t s i m p l e

  • @johndejohn ...you just complicated things by spacing those letters out >.<

  • They look normal as fuck. Could see anyone wearing a coat and a hat... they don't look like hipsters at all. They ride a bike that takes skill to ride. That's the only thing I see that separates them from the rest of the shitty people in the world.

  • your optimism enlightens me.

  • steel or alu frame???? what is better???

  • steel is real

  • real heavy

  • real tough

  • i like how people are calling these people chic-sters/hipsters or what ever when they fail to realize that the base of almost all of the US's fads (fixies, shoes, blah) have been based off of japan's street culture

  • its ok, yall only look a tad homo.

  • ultra chic-sters

  • seriously

  • the truth is they are one gear bikes. the way bike were in the beginning. and were

"re-inventing" the wheel because we've no other ideas. they do look "cool" however, clean bikes, smooth.

  • yeah but it isn't about the bikes lol, its the dudes riding them. Thats why plutoplatters was like "ultra chic-sters"

  • kinda all one ball of string... but "ultra chic-sters" does apply to the human element a little more so.

  • Above all you HAVE to wear nearly skin tight pants with 5.4 inch rolled up cuffs. I did not notice this on this video. I'm also predicting that wearing 2 different colored shoes will become part of the repertoire .

  • Nice choice of music. 8-D
