For those of you's with a Ford Taurus you may want to take the spring off the car and throw the car in the dumpster ....take the spring and sell it for scrap metal you can get about .75 cent a lbs for recycled steel .

Another thing i was wondering while watching this video was .....why would a person buy a Taurus in the first place ? Pff

what if i open the big Screw at the top of spring while it in the car ? is that will make the car jump high ? :)

i dont think you will be able to access the screw while its still fitted.

As far as taking out the spring/strut assembly, he is "OK" at best. But for the average do-it-yourselfer you are much better off taking the assembly to a shop and paying them a few $ to put it in their strut compressor and R&R the springs/shock.

@ChgoSTrider if youre taking out the springs or shocks in the first place youre probably replacing them anyway.....and theres no correct way to do anything on a car really,if you got some car know-how you can machine and stroke and rebuild an entire motor to be performance grade for a fraction if even that of what youd pay for a shop of any sort to do it and give it some "R&R",Id rather not pay two grand in labor and less than half that in parts,metaphorically speaking.

to the mechanic and people posting these videos on the taurus spring and strut: what the hell is wrong wtih you people? this video is dangerious as the spring was not fully compressed when te bareing plate was removed and can cause serious harm if it still has pressure from the spring! and there are many steps missed; such as how to safely get the coil over strut off the car (very difficult) and how to put the bareing plate back on when the spring compressors can not take the spring down...
