Alaska senator - town hall meeting on HR 3200.

Is the first guy up really saying that he's "comforted" that he is covered by Medicare (a government operated program) so that he can avoid enrolling in a governement operated program? Then follows up with a rhetorical "parrot" question. So, in this guys case, a government run system has worked for him, he praises it - but he doesnt trust/respect the Gov't to establish a better health care system, when he is clearly exalting the rewards of such a program.

This gentlemen insists that there are smoke and mirrors, that somebody is lying about the bill? Which sections are people misinformed about and by whom? He is afraid, understandably, to lose his only access to care - Medicare. If it was not for Medicare, would he afford the MRI, would he get it the same day? People who have not reached retirement cannot get same level of care. What did they do to deserve it? Everybody should be treated same way. Is it OK to deny care to same, but not others?

Alaskans have common sense. I was surprised to see how organized this meeting was.
