  • This track (as well as the Binary Universe album itself) is absolutely transcendent! In fact, TBU is my all-time favorite BT album. The music on it is something you FEEL as much as you hear.

Thanks for putting this on here.

  • I just taught my first lab ever and it was soooo stressful, I still feel the stress even after it was over,,, so I came home as quick as possible so I can listen to all that makes us human to get my calm again and its wonderful ^_^

  • I'm gonna buy the album, without hesitation.

  • The thumbs down just looks so wrong here.

  • the person who disliked this song must have never used their brain before except for knowing which drugs they needed to get high. Too bad for them.

  • This song is absolutely breathtaking. It rewards the listener so greatly. Almost every time I decide to listen to this track tears build in my eyes. It's a powerful, powerful piece of music. If aliens ever came to planet Earth and I were responsible for communicating with them I would not say a word: I would play this song for them and enjoy the harmony.

  • OMG I just saw the price of it on amazon....lol you guys are gonna hate me but I got the album with the DVD and slipcase for like 3 bucks in a second hand shop on a whim not even knowing what it was than I fell in love when I heard it

  • I heard about BT trough this album, I've been listening to it for about three weeks. Today I decided to try anonther album (these hopeful machines) and I have to say I was disapointed, nothing like this. I hope you'll make another album in this kind of mood, until then have fun in clubs :).

  • I feel sorry for the person who dared to dislike this video.

  • 'This binary universe' is one of the best album ever released. Its mesmerizing

  • I literally cried the first time I heard this song. Fucking gorgeous and it was written completely in C sound. A programming language. BT said he wrote it like the classic composers did. No instruments just sat down and wrote except in code not written music. amazing

  • how could there be a dislike

  • @alemsalem missclicks happen

  • Where can I purchase this online?

  • @rhino478 Unfortunately, I don't know any current places to purchase the dvd/cd pack for anything close to reasonable prices. I actually messaged BT a while ago on twitter asking the same question but got no response...

  • @rhino478 "Purchase?" Baaaahahahaha

  • @L4MD4 Some people REALLY DO want to give something back to artists whose work we like... :)

It's when they &/or their distributors make it so difficult for us to do that...we give up.

Like that awesome cartoon this week from The Oatmeal, about trying to find the first season of Game of Thrones... Just epic fails by old industries who just don't get it.

  • @rhino478 You can buy it at amazon.com, however, since it's discontinued it's price is really high now, but it's worth it !

  • DEEP, mellow and amazing.

  • Whats interesting and not many people know. The visuals were programmed in code. This song itself was also coded in audio C. Which is like C++ but for compiling music. When i saw this debut in a theatre with BT in Dallas, he said its something like 20k lines of code.

  • This is the most amazing album ever, in every level, just the perfect meaning of music, life and everything. And above all things, it IS.

  • wow 1 didnt feel the love :D of this music

  • Why does this song have to end...

  • I don't know how many times i have comment on this but i really can't help myself. This song helps me to remember why every moment in my life is so important and so worth living. This song is such cathartic outburst of emotion it brings tears to my eyes.

  • i can't believe i still havent listened to this in 5.1 surround sound. imagine being completely immersed in this. this song is what love must sound like.

  • This is awesome as a track on its own, the fact that it was made in Csound just makes it fucking amasing.

  • Close your eyes and just let this composition speak to you...i didn't feel attached to earth while listen to this, it was a profound experience.

  • amazing,

  • Hurts my heart :(

  • is this from the union?

  • im sorry but this really shoudn't be compared to blade runner, it's nothing like that it's not futuristic it's just indiscribable.

  • This album is an experience, if you have Dolby DTS sound available to you, watch the DVD (specifically this song) with DTS enabled, turn it up, and sit back. You WILL hear things you won't hear on the audio CD. If you don't have a DTS home stereo/theater, find a family/friend/coworker who does....

There's only one song on this album I skip sometimes, can't remember which. The rest is pure magic.

  • Oh nvm.... it sounds like this vid forced the 'extra' audio that DTS channels push through into the main stereo sound. I can hear it, it's kind of obvious now (even with crappy laptop speakers). Good job to whoever did that for this vid.... I suppose its just the way DTS splits it up to all of the channels which makes it an 'all around you' experience.

Either way, DTS sound on the DVD is quite enjoyable...

  • oh ya!!

  • This song in DTS will take you into the new world of music! Undescribeble!

  • @cytrane I can't imagine skipping a single track. I saw him perform this album in a live 5.1 mix and it was nothing short of sensational.

  • @psychonavigator lucky! where was it at?

  • @JusticeDanger San Diego at the Belly Up Tavern. Went to see BT, and got blown away by Thomas Dolby. While BT played, I was close enough to be able pull the cables out of his midi controller. The part I loved most watching him play "Good Morning Kaia." His eyes were closes the entire time he played and in the parts he did not play, he was leaning way over his keyboard to see the screen playing the video of his daughter that's on the DVD. Was such an intimate and emotional experience.

  • the whole album is awesome i love it

  • Yeah, just got it 1.5 wk ago and have listened to almost nothing else. Fantastic!

  • While these are great recommendations, I would say that these folks steer towards the avant garde and glitch side of what BT did on this album. Personally I think what sets BT apart from those artists is that he marries the avant garde style with classical composition, melody, and musical finesse.

  • maybe you should listen the whole discography of amon tobin, squarepusher and aphex twin before saying that,... they have a lot of generes in their music, from jazz, to drum and bass and ambient too,... tipper on the other side is an extraordinary music maker,.. and one thing i like to mention too is that this binary universe indeed is one of my favorites albums but... tell me another album as good as this from BT,... : )

  • TRY...... Ital tek, Four tet, Burial, Kettle, Zymosis, Kuba.......... or users on youtube like!.........user/BATalsdr.....user/OutOfBodyExperiences

  • IN HD!

I love this whole album, BT rocks the boat yo!

    Cheyenne.
