that woman had the perfect nose. it's a true masterpiece in itself. actually she is beautiful no doubt about that.... it seems that standards were high at that time if you wanted to be an actress.
Dolores Costello transferred to talking pictures easily. She is in "Show of Shows" from 1929, (Warner Brothers) originally photographed in two color technicolor. She was the daughter of Silent Screen Star Maurice Costello, and also the wife of the late John Barrymore. A great example of her dramatic Acting can be seen in the MGM picture "A Tale of Two Cities" playing the female Protagonist, w/ Ronald Coleman, & Edna Mae Oliver (who plays the character of her Maid/ and Governess to her Children)
I have never heard of this woman but as usual with most of the Stars, she is beautiful. I am always amazed at how many Silent Stars there were and then saddened by how many never made the "Talkies" transition.
I am mesmerized by her beauty.

Does anyone know what the beautiful music is behind this video, especially the second half?

@rosenthalgc There are two edited pieces here. David Lanz's 'Song For Monet' followed by Vanessa Mae's 'Warm Air'.

Drew has those same deep set sultry eyes.

This is Drew Barrymore's father's mother, once married to John Barrymore. The Hollywood links are so strong in this family, it's so interesting!

Breathtakingly beautiful. Also Drew Barrymore's grandmother. I think Drew resembles her a little.

@78timothy :
Elizabeth Allan played the female protagonist in "A Tale of Two Cities"-not Delores Costello.
I do enjoy Delores Costello in her silent films. I haven`t seen any of her talking pictures. Lorraine
