  • One of Rob's assistants at TR was Grant Blaney who went on to Buffalo Grove HS and was voted into the hall of fame. He was built like a brick outhouse; would sit at halfcourt in the TR gym and swish baskets. Sadly, he died quite young of cancer.

    Saw Rob put a TTHS heavyweight wrestler in a half nelson when the kid wantied to start fisticuffs after losing to a TR wrestler. He was one tough cookie. Had to be well into his eighties?
