  • ALAN WILDER IS GOD! ♥♥♥

  • love how they put 'Fairlite' on the back of Martins synth

  • i like the 4 tracks TASCAM in the background (plays the drums part) , and the pretty JUPITER 8 Roland, and MOOG Source

  • i.love DM...

  • wilder can beat fletcher & gore at table tennis.

  • I read somewhere that Martin writes the songs, Dave sings them, and Fletch collects a check, lol.

  • @MrRetiredOfficer to be fair to fletch he did play some pretty heavy handed basslines and kept the time before midi. I've tried playing along. the lines are simple but extremely fast and staccato. credit to his hands for keeping this up for a whole concert really.

  • @MrRetiredOfficer Dave is the lead singer, Martin is the songwriter, Alan is the talented musician, and Fletch just f**ks around

  • Alan is a excellent musician and his my favourite member of DM

  • hahaha pauvre dave tou seule dans son coin et en passent j'adore le live!

  • I love DM!

  • FIRST TIME I SEE FLETCHER DOING SOMETHING ON THE KEYBOARD..!!

    =O lol

  • Oh my god Dave is very handsome!!! I love DM

  • In the "Remastered" interviews...Dave said:

"When ALAN came alone to the auditions, we immediately said ...this guy is amaizing... He can play any thing!!!"

  • FAIRLITE...Goo!!!

  • where did you get this video??????

  • im going to kill who ever disliked this....

  • just about the music player you guys referring to, is as important as those guys themselves. where do you think the drums come from ?

    that's their "artificial" drum machine.

they have been attacked by critics for this type of drums all the time, but it was easier and cheaper for them this way :)

  • @icexpace i always had that question myself ..like who is playing the drums

  • alan's a trained musician when he joined DM. and i like how they looked here. i can almost kiss my monitor everytime i see martin! wow, the all looked so handsome

  • Why are there 2 balls all of a sudden?

  • nice :)

  • the live is playblack ...look the music player behind :P

  • @plasticpunch Not true. The music player has little to do with the song itself.

  • @noxis93 it was just a joke my friend :)

  • lol, this is the first time I actually saw fletch playing :)

  • Incredible! Andy is playing for real!!!!

  • oh i hear it PUPPETS (pinball) or not! :)

  • Wilder's hands are gold

  • Thanks, great quality! Where did you get this?

  • Yeh, Alan indeed is a good pianist. Sad, he did not have much chance to show his talents. Even in Recoil he's been preoccupied more with technology and sound side than performing.

  • Alan is the BEST! ♥

He looks soo bussy doing everything with both hands at the same time! =O! Awesome!

  • nice ping pong play by Martin :D

  • lov it, awsome!!!

  • Sounds like John Foxx stuff from Metamatics.

  • This is why Depeche Mode are still going strong, they're so down to earth. On a another note, was Alan Wilder off camera playing against Fletch and Martin at ping pong, i mean i know he's good on keyboards but thats taking the piss! lol

  • Martin's hilarious Casio Fairlight. :)

  • the vocals remind me so much of presets!

  • Wow, Alan can play two different melodies simultaneously. Not just bass parts with left hand and lead with right one but a lead part with each one! Great performer!!

  • thats why i love him. Goddammed magician.

  • @blapo38 well, i read somewhere that he was a little confused about how easily he got the job originally - stuff like playing a bass part and lead part simultaneously would be pretty basic to a trained pianist like alan

  • actually this is in 1982. Alan was not yet part of the band line-up and was only playing live with the guys.

  • @facrp Agree with you there. Alan became part in 1983 didn't he?

  • @facrp This could be from early 1983. GTBR was released in Jan 1983, at around which time they were on the ABF tour. Alan had joined and was touring with the band by this time. CTA was recorded and released later that year.

  • @q89747 You're right! I missed the "new single called GTBR out now on Mute" which means that Alan was now officially part of the band line-up in deed.

  • Dave looks so happy when he's dancing, it's so freaking adorable

  • @cherry88 He looks a bit like The Karate Kid .. the original I mean

  • Super! Дэйв красавчик!

  • Does anyone know where this footage came from? I know it was shot at Brixton, but was it for shot for British Television?

The quality is simply amazing. I love the way it was filmed...the shots on stage and from above are priceless.

  • Actually, the band looks sharp as a razor here and Dave's dancing is perfect. They sound absolutely amazing! This show is actually from late 1982 and at this point the band is starting to carve their own unique niche into the genre of electronica.

  • 1:32 Andy is dicking the keyboard ha ha

  • 1:26 HA HA HA HA HA LOOK HOW DAVE DANCES

  • damn dave is MOVIN hahah

  • i know ha ha ha

  • I believe this was released on vinyl as a German import.. It also included Just can get enough, etc. Try to get that vinyl, it's cool

  • Thank you so much for uploading!

  • great! Tora Tora Tora should be still played live on concerts!

  • Alan poppin those keys out of that roland is bad ass electro stuff

  • Actually: it is!

  • Beautiful!...Brixton show from '83

...where's the rest of this and why is it not on dvd? Dave starts to step up his dance moves more and more by this point. Cool stuff!

  • Tora Tora Tora what a song. One of the very best........DM Rule....

  • also love the preppy school boy fashion, no leather jackets yet!

  • love the reel to reel on stage in these early shows!

  • Fantastic !!!!

    ...but where´s the rest ??

  • Great!!!

  • the crowd looks kind of like a big pile of tribbles

  • Wow, that was one bouncy audience! :D

Merci pour la vidéo. :) J'aime beaucoup Fletch au début quand il essaie de décrire le clip et là ils mettent une autre balle en jeu et il fait:" Attendez, une autre balle. Ça devient vraiment compliqué maintenant." =D

  • Cool old stuff.
