The song's about being in doubt about what you are doing and living thorugh. The videoclip shows that - the angel (who I strongly believe is Mother Maiden,since she said she "lived through many ages and saw bloody wars")is shown leaving the war with a very disappointed face ("Every word you are saying is a lie"),and let the priest cut her wings out, in order to become human and leave all that bloodshed behind, but she realizes in the end that she comitted a mistake and shouldn't have done that..
