The regulation brings respect for the weapon (on the whole) because you will lose it if you don't use it properly. You can actually get semi-auto and fully auto if you have the right licence, but they are of course harder to get (but it is possible). Farmers for example can get a shotgun licence very easily. The laws are fine as they are, and not a waste of money.
@TRUExSIGHTS You can have a semi auto shotgun or rimfire cartridge on an FAC1, you need FAC 5 to be allowed semi auto of a half decent calibre........it is almost impossible to get an FAC5,generally not open to the general public, mainly people like armourers. I agree regulation is sensible, but where the US is one extreme, we're the other....extremes aren't a good place to be

Our laws do have a massive effect on gun crime because it really is so hard to get a gun, and so more difficult to commit a crime with it. On the whole gun crime is very low here compared to the USA.

I've worked with special effects such as muzzle flashes as well as real guns. Real handguns have minute, if any, muzzle flash, this gun clearly has a large amount of muzzle flash. If you pause it right as the second shot is being fired, you can clearly see the flash is put in there via special effects. The video is fake.
First of all no blood, second of all he wouldn't have died instantly unless shot in the heart or brain which he wasn't, third of all if you look really closely at the end of the video you can see his hand move, fourthly the camera man would have dropped the camera and either helped or started running and finally the camera man would have been shot because he has evidence of the shooting on his camera. Did I forget to mention this video would be taken down and used as evidence so yeah.

@dranzerbeyblader There are bullet wounds that have very little or no blood coming out. Obviously this guy is wearing a suit and if the video was longer you would probably begin to see blood pooling around his wounds. Is hard to tell if this is fake or real because of the impact on his suit from the second round fired at him. This is a tough one that needs more researching. Has anyone looked into the London News about this?? As to the camera guy? Well it could be a coincidence. It did shake
