@art41894 Male viera exist, but they live separately from the female. they only meet when it's necessary, though that's probably rare since they live so long. none of the ff titles that take place in ivalice show male viera. for what reason, we don't know. male viera just don't end up leaving the wood as much as the females do for some reason, i guess.

@Commandie070792pnt0 in the official book its says there are male Viera as well. They live in a separate villages and are even more isolated from outer Ivalice.

After reading comments I see a lot of people missed the point of this game and Vieras. This scene is new for Final Fantasy. They summed up the message of the game in one scene. Usually they spread them out over events and characters.

FIY this scene also shows that it isn't Fran can't hear the "Wood" ;but she refuses to hear the "Wood" out of fear.

Level up to 30 for 3 people, and get Curaga frrom that Moogle in the Eruyt, use Esuna when the Dragon uses sporefall, or just go south to the Feywood, and then up to the Paramina Rift

I've bought this game since its release and I still have not completed the first playthrough. Strange I know, but I love the Final Fantasy games that much, that sometimes I prefer slacking on it than finish it in one sitting or maximum six months. Anyway, love the cutscenes. It was heartbreaking to hear Fran tell Mjrn to forget about her. So sad :(

It's kind of funny. In my playthrough, I used Fran quite often in my party, but I've never noticed until watching these cutscenes that her ears have visibly "decayed" due to her being away for so long. Obviously, that's why she can't hear the Green Word, as they say!

First of all, I can say that the Elder Wyrm is about level 27 so you'd best be higher than that. There is an accessory which can double your license points which will help also to get Esuna. Make sure you buy it from the moogle also.
