I have never spent so much time on you tube wathching your videos,I am looking forward to our conference later this year when we too can sing 'We are the Church Alive'
(PART 2) I cried like a baby. Your service seems so free an open. Like you are all one with each other and our Lord. I would love to be able to worship that way, But one does not dare change anything in my congregation. If pastor says it them we do it. Than you for such a beautiful and refreshing way of looking at our Lords commandment to love and honor and make disciples of ALL. Gods Blessings for Easter and always. CHRIST IS RISEN!!!! HE IS RISEN INDEED ALLELUIA!!!
(PART 1) I come from a very conservative and formal Missouri Synod Lutheran upbringing. It was always taught to us that homosexuality is a grave an punishable sin. I know that you would not see or hear of any gay or lesbian (that is on that is "out) worshipping with us. It simply was not allowed. It was not until I was feeling down and just surfing the net that I found your video. I was so moved and touched. I could feel the presence of our risen Lord & King. I cried like a baby.
Very impressive. I am Episcopalian and few can come close to the beauty and pagentry of an Episcopal procession but you have. A thurifer, crucifer, banners, lovely vestments, majestic singing. My church is a cathedral and we welcome all and exclude no one. Good job. Eventually love will always overcome hatred and darkness.
Very impressive. I'm Episcopalian and few can come close to the dignified beauty and pagentry of an Episcopal procession but I must say, I would feel very comfortable here. Good job.
I am so touched by this video. I've played it over and over again today, Easter 2008. I am going through a particlarly difficult time now. I wish I lived near Dallas and could attend a service at your church.
This is why we do not allow your postings to stay on our page. If you decide to debate the issue in a rational, loving manner; then we will leave your postings. We believe the world needs less hate, not more.
I tried to debate the issues by PROVING that you have slanted and bent the scriptures to mean what you wnat them to be and EVERY post I made was not allowed thru. My only answer to why is because my point could not be refuted. And you certainly have the right to block my point of view when it runs counter to the Untruth you portray but I also have a right to let others know you are unable to back up your "Opinions" of scripture!
If you visit our website, under the heading of "Homosexuality and Christianity" you will find a complete discussion of our views. Unfortunately, your comments show that you have closed mind when it comes to an alternative view. You have clearly never considered that YOUR interpretation could be the "untruth" you speak of. Remember, Jesus said NOTHING about homosexuality! However, he did have a lot to say about LOVE and loving your neighbor.
I have visited the website and read the 3 1/2 pages dealing with the scriptures that SPECIFICALLY deal with HOMOSEXUALITY and when I finished I had to pick my Jaw up off the floor. I could not believe how a group of people could skew scripture to mean Absolutely the opposite of GODS intentions.
Jesus did not speak SPECIFICALLY to many things, he didn't mention Beastiality specifically but WE know it is wrong.......Or do we?
This reminds me of the Serpent talking with Eve in the Garden!!!
So, what you are saying is that YOU know specifically, the mind of GOD and God's intentions? Wow, that is an amazing claim. I am so glad to know you are so completely enlightened while the rest of the world lives in ignorance. This will be the last response to any of your postings since you are clearly not interested in a rational discussion. I pray for peace for you and yours and a Happy Easter!
Blessed are those who accept all of God's creation into their church family. May He continue to bless you and the ministries He has placed in your hands! I would love to come and speak at your church!
seeing service videos from the Cathedral and reading it's website have changed my mind and my heart about homosexuality and Christianity, and I thank God.
Bob, thank you for the very nice comment. Praise God! I am so glad we could help you come to a new understanding about the inclusive love and extravagant grace of God. God bless you!
I assume this church is Anglican or Methodist.

Actually, we are a United Church of Christ, however, we look Anglican or Methodist because our services are very liturgical in nature.

Great sound from the orchestra--I play the trombone in the orchestra and during this service.
