Decent film, beautifully shot, well performed and directed. It is not really a comercial film so dont expect pure entertainment, it is character driven and serious. Much better than the boring novel.

This is so weird, my girlfriends name is Naznin and her parents want her to have a arranged marriage, She's From Bangladesh as well, but I'm Hispanic so they wouldn't allow me to marry her so I really want to watch this movie with her.

the movie has missed out alot of the discriptions/situations in the book, still good tho! i think being bengali makes it more special 4 us!

They filmed this movie right near my house man, hw cool is dat. Aparently dey really liv in dat area, but u knw, i've only seen da 1st older daughter in the movie in real life, i fink. She lives in ma area.

the book isn't like the film..it goes in to much more detail. you get a better understanding if you read the book...great film tho
