ok first of all those mics are really expensive and sensitive and he's knows that...he knows he doesn't have to get loud because they're "too far away". he's "getting louder" because he's belting because he can't nearly hit those notes in his head voice. in fact he can't even hit them while belting so it results in a raspy scream-type deal.

Maybe he was tired, but that notes weren't hard at all. Maybe I have to listen to other videos, because this one i'm hearing, isn't the one of a great vocalist like everyone says, i'm not hearing any unique voice or something. I think aaron gillespie is SO overrated. I'm from souht america and i've heard a lot of singers from usa. There's just a couple who really sound like the studio versions. Johnny craig and anthony green are a good example, but this one fixes his voice in the studio.

There's a difference between studio voices and live voices. Studio voices are tweaked and perfected, but live voices have more energy and aren't changed by machines. I'm no expert, but it seems like their live voices have more energy to appeal to crowds or people they are singing to
