  • She is dressed very sweet.

  • mashalllah it took my second year at school for people to be comfortable with me being me.

  • Love the video! Love it!!!

  • Gosh I love her style *.*

I started wearing hijab too and I'm really proud of it. At first I was terrified too especially about my school, classmates and everybody else.

In the end everything turned out well, thanks to my friends who even complimented me about my style (they're all christians and catholics). My classmates and professors encouraged me the last year, everybody's been so nice to me. Of course I heard bad comments but they were from a few people so I didn't really care.

  • ok so answer this .

1)If equality is part of islam then why cant women in Saudi Arabia obtain a driving license?

2)Why do they choose too wear hijabs (which im sorry for saying - but true) , especially in the western world where it only encourages more hate and alienation.8/10 people complain or spark conversation about them whenever someone wearing one passes .

3)If you dont have too wear it(i believe this is true)why do you wear it?

4)Why put yourself through this when heaven isnt real? :P

  • wow!!!i dig you on the two idenities. I was born and raised muslim and im an american! i love twilight and music and so many american things but im also a muslim to my core!!!and i represent that everyday and i do firmly believe in the fact that my husband will be the only one who can truly see me like that and i think thats really important. I think nowaday women throw there goods around so freely...its sad noe knowing your worth..i thank allah for the fact that i know what the truth is.ya know

  • i dont fucking get why she cant show her hair or wear tank tops or short shorts :S like... :S

  • لا يجوز لك نشر هذا المقطع الذي يظهر عورة هذه الفتاة وهذا ليس حجاب إسلامي هذا حجاب أمريكي .. فأزل أخي هذا المقطع هداني الله وإياك

  • last statement meant,"skimpy"clothing....

  • The Hijabs are more beautiful &fashionable than the Burak,It is more comfortable speaking with someone when you can see their face and expressions.Agreeably,The Hijab shows more modesty than lots of American"baremore,Bare all"types of fashions.

  • i appreciate your honesty.

I stand corrected again, sorry if i offended you, i did not mean to.

  • Is this covering, a show of royalty to her chosen husband?

Showing that she honors him and Him ONLY?

I really like the Honor you give to your future or present husband.

    God Bless.

  • Not at all timestandingstill, Hijab (scarf) is not about royalty/honor of women to their future husbands. It is an act of worship to God, fulfilling his commands.

Woman and Man are equal in Islam, both are obliged to dress modestly, both are abiding by Allah's laws, and there is not superiority of men over women, or vice versa.

I know of many women, whose husbands ask them to remove their scarf. When this happens, husbands don't have the authority or the right to be obeyed for such a request.

  • No disrespect intended, but if you read more about the womans head being covered, in 1 Cor. - 14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

15But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

16But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God."

Doesn't it mean she should not shave her head??

  • First, I acknowledge that I'm not knowledgeable enough about the Bible or the Old Testament, and I see no disrespect in this.

Second, I don't believe that the quote I mentioned recommends shaving head. What I understood is that the mention of shaving was meant as a deterrent from showing woman's hair.

Third, I agree that woman's hair is the crown of her beauty. The difference is that I see this is a pearl that she should protect, and save for her husband, rather than show it to everybody.

  • I had to read it a few times but, I think you are right, I still really haven't studied into this subject enough to know what it is referring to. Did it mean for a woman to be not over power a man in the ministry?

    Thanks for your time.

  • We are taught as Christians that long hair is the beauty of a woman, why cover your beauty.

    God Bless

  • its says that women must cover ther hair or shave their head bald, in christianity

  • To TheAfricamusic, I never did hear that a woman must cover her hair or shave her head if they were a Christian.

I don't mean to offend you but I don't think this is true.

    Best regards,

    Jim

  • I thought that TheAfricanmusic wasn't serious about it, but I just found this:

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. 1 Corinthians: 11:5,6.

    New tstmnt: 1 Corinthians 11:4-16, old tstmnt: Genesis 20:16 & 24:65.

It seems Islam is not unique 4 women hair covering.

  • That's exactly why it is covered. Covering woman's body but hands and face is God's command:

[Tell the believing men to lower their gaze, and protect their private parts. That is purer for them. Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what they do. (30) And tell the believing women to lower their gaze, and protect their private parts and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (bodies, faces, necks and bosoms, etc.)] Quran 24:30,31
