  • Ever think of doing a 4Sevens cool white/neutral white/warm white video? There are a few good comparisons on CPF, but no videos.

  • @randy25rhoads If they were regular production models, we probably would. As it is, we generally only have them in stock for a short period, and I try not to make videos for lights that won't be around for long.

  • Cool light I just don't see any need for all those colors.

  • The colors are used for tactical situations. Red helps maintain your night vision and is hard to see from far away by an enemy. The other colors also do this but with less effect. They are generally used in map reading. Red lines disappear when using a red light. So you sometimes go with other colors. Depends on the map and the need. I do think this light is a little complex for a tactical light.

  • @rongallant I've always heard that longer wavelength colors (like red) help maintain night vision, green doesn't blow out night vision equipment, and blue is used to spot blood on the ground.

I'd love it if Cree would release an MC-E with white, IR, UV, and some other color.

  • @randy25rhoads You are probably right about that as well. I was just telling what I used them for when I was in the field. I was infantry and that was 15 years ago.

  • @Mrcaffinebean Cool technology non the less. I will stick with filters for this.

Now, if this could strobe between the colors, imagine the fun you could have at a party. lol

  • @rongallant Yeah, that about all I really see it good for.
