Capoeira is an F1 Savannah. Her father is a Serval. She is a wonderful pet, very loving, fun and interesting to interact with. She is smarter, more active, athletic and adventurous than regular house cats. So she can get into more mischief (opening cabinets, drawers and doors, jumping to the tops of everything, opening packages, pushing the window screen out and racing off, etc.). F1s often bond very deeply with their person, and it can be difficult to re-home them. So it is a big commitment.

Capoeira and our other Savannahs also get along well with other cats and with our dog. They all LOVE our dog. :-)

F1, F2, etc. refers to filial generation, and in the case of domestic/wild hybrids, refers to the wild ancestor (the Serval in the case of Savannahs). An F1 Savannah has a Serval for a parent. An f2 Savannah has a Serval for a grandparent. An F3 Savannah has a Serval for a great grandparent, and so on...

She just loves to play with water. We toss floating balls into the pool for her. She hisses at them, and then goes in and retrieves them so we can throw them in again. If she is near when I turn on the tap, she is right there in the sink, chasing the water down the drain with her paws.
