I really think it's inappropriate that a few posters are criticizing Maya on her children's names. FIRST of all before you say how insulting it is, realize that her 1st daughter's name is Pearl MINNIE so Maya's first child was her mother's namesake!! But even if she hadn't, it's inappropriate for you to be judging a situation you know nothing about. You can tell in interviews that Maya loves her mother more than anything, and that should be all that matters.
