I know what you mean. I'll sometimes crank up the settings and walk away from my computer for a few hours...only to find out the final render sucks;^) Your vids are always amazing...keep posting.

Thanks. If you ever want to get into useless rendertimes, just try an unbiased render engine. It'll take ages, but even the must suckish scene will look great after a few days of rendering.

Is Luxrender and unbiased engine? I hear lots about it but never used so far.

Unbiased, open-source, hand-in-hand with Blender (sort of).

So far, I'm cheating on it with its little brother, smallluxgpu, which is part of LuxRays, but only as a demo (proof of concept). smallluxgpu is experimental and it requires some tweaking, BUT, it uses GPU as well.
