they replace only certain things that look way out of place and context mixing in. the whole feel of the show is ruined. crap like this and jj arams killed star trek for me and a lot of my family and friends.
they could have done better with the giant cat and of course the crappy little aliens at the end,they did at least edit out the painfully obvious black wires that they were operated by in the original version.
@ReverendSyn thats just it they rushed the effects. so only some stuff was replaced...a if they werent going to re do the whoole fucking show clip by clip then dont try at all. lastly replacing things is terrible...remake the tv series then for modern day you selfish greedy bastards. and fans today are sheep. jj abrams is a deuche bag.Sir Roddenberry would be suing a lot of people in court if he were alive today let me tell you.

This show needed more CGI effects added to the end creatures, and a little more with the witch characters.. Maybe next time!
