Unfortunately, Cybuster doesn't live up to its name in SRTOG/SRTOG2.

For grinding up, I constantly kept losing on the first time you see the Stone Circle (if you take Kyosuke's path everytime). Since there's A LOT of Einsts in the beggining, I would send someone there alone to take care of all of them (mostly Kyosuke).

I did beat it though my first playthrough. The first playthrough is always the hardest in my opinion, cause you don't know what to expect unless you look up a guide, but then I feel that sucks the fun out of it. I used alot of my more mobile mechs to take Wodan down. What's really hard is getting the battle mastery.

Not to mention he has a super strong MAP weapon and he can take out most of your fully-upgraded units in one hit with Kirin Ne Plus. That's why I say it's my biggest enemy. I mean, imagine missing a Valor powered Rampage Ghost and a Valor Powered Tornado Blade because of Double Image. It would piss me off a lot XD

I like Vindel's character... He is a threat in multiple ways to the heroes... He comes up with an almost working plan to pretty much take over the whole multiverse... and he has a pretty strong mech and knows how to use it.
the only real way to take this guy down is with "helios" aka gilliam yager and his one and only gespenst (any version you want him to pillot). and that shows only one thing: no matter how much your mecha is overpowered and uses freaking technology outer this world...... its just one day in the work of gilliam yeager!

Vindel is tied with Shu for my favorite OG villain. Great themes, great characters. Good stuff.

It's how we got to where we are today. And if, say another world war were to occur, I'm sure we'd be even further. Let's just hope it doesn't come to that, though.

This has the perfect kind of zealous tension Vindel creates whenever he speaks. One of the things I enjoy about this BGM is that it was actually recorded using a full orchestra.
This version sound a bit sad compare to the OG2 or AP version...very fitting IMO. As in OGs Shadow Mirror is portrayed as semi-heroic instead of outright warmonger like OG2/AP.

Had he not been such a warmonger I could've agreed with him, for he does say a few things which hold wisdom... Such as the fact, that, without war, humanity would probably still be wearing suits of armor and swinging blades around, if not less than that. Yeah, war brings more sadness than joy, but, without war, where would rocketscience be? Or spacetravel? On those things, I can agree with him. But I was glad he went down eventually... His world of war was something that shouldn't be...

Ah, Vindel was a great villain. Iredeemable and crazy as hell, but just sane enough to be incredibly dangerous. Good villains are ones you seriously enjoy finally taking down.
If the Zweizergain would be able to face the Super Earthgain, it would be obvious who won the battle. EG-X, VR-02 and EG-XX are the best creations from the Shadow-Mirror universe.
Amusing, actually. Though you were certianly ballsy to attack him with the Kurogane. Its an epic ship (especially when powered by Trombe!), but Zweizergain can take off at least 1/3 of its health in one good attack. But hey, thats how most bosses in OG2 are.
The Zweizergain reminds me somewhat of a blue Valsion.
