Just a little anecdote: I recall reading years ago in an advice column a man asking for help because according to him his wife refused to be with him unless she was staring at a picture of Johnny Mathis on the bed table. I can't remember what advice he got. However, to this day I laugh thinking of the man's predicament. It just goes to prove the effect that Johnny Mathis has on people, specially women.

I saw Johnny tonight in Portland, OR, and this was one of the songs he sang in concert. He was fabulous. He doesn't have the range that he used to have, but boy, can he work the voice that he has! He has the smoothest voice of any singer I've ever heard. I've loved his voice for as long as I can remember. I hope that someday I can actually meet him (I had no luck waiting by the stage door).

Anything Johnny sings is ok with me, he is my favorite singer in the whole world. I have an autographed black and white picture of him. I go see it at the Las Vegas Hilton when I can, he is delightful. He also comes to San Francisco and performs with the San Francisco Symphony orchestra every other year. He has taken care of his voice, he was on my local PBS TV station and talked about how he has people and friends who help him take care of himself and his voice.

19rebel57, thanks so much for putting this up, I think it said this is from a 1982 performance. Johnny still looks good, and he is now 71. I saw him this past year on my PBS TV station in his 50th Anniversary special. I hope we are able to have him for many more years to come.
