  • Do you happen to know what the wire bail can be used for? Toast came to mind...

  • @BushcraftTam

Hi - sorry not really sure - have only ever used it as a handle if i have needed to steady it when taking the cup off. It also secures the cup on the top in carriage

  • Thanks.

  • wow who would ever thought boiling water with fire wow

  • @moecat1000

Strange isnt it! - I only made the video - you CHOSE to watch it!!!

  • I have that same thing. Just so you know, the penny stove is incredible in it.

  • If you liked this, you'd love woodgas stoves. They look similar, but burn much hotter and cleaner :) .

  • @PonyHaven

Have a look at some of my other videos - there are a number of Woodgas stoves, both homemade and commercially made stoves. Thanks, Paul

  • @Bigbazza99

Sweet, will do. These are fun to experiment with :) .

  • Supposed to put a little can of alcohol gel in the Swedish army stove.

  • @bluemountaindrivepae

You can run these on many fuels - gel, esbit and wood. Some people have modified them to accept meths burners too.

  • I have seen a really cool ModGear water bottle pouch, i've heard hold this swiss stove perfect with a side pouch for fuel and foon. I saw this in cheaperthandirtdotcom but was wondering if any of you have this and if it does fir the stove. cheers from ca.

  • @PHARRAOH

Hi - havent seen one of these and dont have one - will check out the website though. The stove is fairly well self contained anyway. thanks Paul

  • i like this cooker well designed

  • did you seriously buy that I have one that is made out of a coffee can

  • @redheadfisher17 - Yes, I did. Hope you enjoyed your coffee. If you look at my other videos you will see I have made a number of other stoves - and far more adventurous than a coffee can!!! lol.

Most army issue kit is well made, functional and cheap - you ought to try it!

  • @Bigbazza99 i dont want to buy one. I made one out of a soup can in minutes. It boils cups of water in minutes or less depending on the amount of heat

  • @redheadfisher17 You seem to eat and drink a lot!! I've made stoves out of a lynx can, coke cans and a biscuit tin with a sugar tin inset inside - we both must be very clever!!!!!!

  • do you think i can use bbq fire stater cylinder can with handle?lol

  • Not sure what you mean, but any cylinder with a cut out for fuelling the fire and some top vent holes will work. Take a look at the Woodgas stove video I have posted - it burns far more efficiently and a lot hotter.

  • yeah i tried it with BBQ fire starter can . it worked just great. this is a product to help start ignite charcole before you put into BBQ grills at united states sells for about $8.99 US at major supermarkets.

  • Can you post a video of it?

  • just go to the sites of american bbq fire starter. you'll find one

  • how tall each, are the cooker and the bottle? also, can you tell me the out side diameter of the cooker please?

  • just picked one up at a surplus store ..now i know its SWISS will get it out soon ...trying to figure how to mod it for my alcohol stove also ..

  • i made an alcohol stove out of a beer can fits inside and works a treat

  • nice job, been workin on one of these with ol' coffee cans.
