I really wish I was there. I started playing soon after the release of Wotlk.
Anyway, the pre-cataclysm thing might have been lame, but try and remember the excitement when the whole world changed from one day to another, and flying mounts were not yet available. People went crazy about exloring the new places.
it was the second day of my trail when it started... i walked into the main human city (dont remember the name) and the entire town was desserted, that was unusual because i was on a crowded server... i decided to find out where everybody was. i walked down an ally where i saw player. he told me that everyone was infected... i didnt knew what that ment at the time so when he started to tell me a zombie jumps out an kills him. i just ran away, then i found the missing players all zombiefied
Even wen talking on general discussion forums people shoot the idea down because wen some1 mentions griefer they dont want it and this is why the game is going to shit every1 wants easy shit handed to them
@Disturbed246810 I remember going all over trying to get away from a massive horde that was just flooding through SW and Goldshire. Man that was the most fun I ever had in that game. The best was once someone became a zombie everyone played along, and tried to take everyone else down with them. Once i got turned we went as a group just rolling through city after city. This event reminded me of the corrupted blood incident back in vanilla. only difference was less people enjoyed it back then. I thought it was great and always thought they should introduce an annual event like it.

BOOM BITCHES TAKE THAT NOOBLETS!. god that was fun, sneaking up on them and infecting them. . .hearing them yell like punk kids who just got spawn killed in halo 3. ahhh good times good times.

@Boneszee The people who complained were idiots who were afraid that the ghouls were "ruining their questing experience". I understand its kind of frustrating if your low level, but still its a game and its purpose is for players to have fun, yet all the hardcore fanboy nerds ended up shitting themselves when they realised they won't be able to complete any dailes due to the event (or something).
This event shitted on, I mean literally shit all over this "elemental invasion" events face. Words cannot describe how let down I am by this pre cata event. Hell, I've had more fun watching grass grow, it's that bad. Seriously fuck you blizz, stupid ass 3 hour dumbass elites spawning that are totally weaksauce and take for ever to kill then 3 stupid 2minute bosses with NO notable loot or unique/vanity items. fucking waste of time!!!
Entering the gates of the clouded Stormwind, hundreds of corpses litter the streets, rats feeding on them. The plague, it's fumes, still spreading on the ground. Arrive to the center of the Trade district, only to see a mob of ghouls spring out of what used to be the Auction House. You turn and try to flee, but at the gates from where you came are more, lunging at you, spitting their disease, covering and infecting everything. You ready your weapon. There's no way out now...
hey if most of 1 server got infected amd say there was on 10% of the remaining population left alive as not zombies were would those 10 percent go to hold out against the zombie players? cuz it would be like the battle of the 300 accept more like a couple thousand against a 10s of thousands but it would still be awesome
I played the upcoming world event on the PTR and it just plain sucks compared to the zombie event. It Truly was quite cool to be able to talk to the other factions, Take the portals and just terrorize everything lolz
It would have been more fun if Blizzard hadn't timed it when everyone was finishing up their Hallow's End quests. Doing the Headless Horseman quest line when the quest givers were going zombie on you was annoying to say the least.
@Druidly there will be more including flooding of the cities..but still i can already still the cataclysm events will be absolutely nothing compared to the pre wotlk events
wow i wish i was there but i had to cancel my account but i would have been there on the front lines killing those zombie bastards and hideing at the same time behind the strongest of NPC's lol

I wish there was a way Blizzard could make Scourge characters and have a way where it feels like you're doing actual good and not just killing the innocent ... wierd sounding, but sounds cool to me.

i think they may do something like this in pre Cata , after the wars for the echo isles and gnomeregan , the cataclysm will start and the graymane wall will break :) then the WORGENS will go throgh the broken part of the wall spreading the curse , starting from undead noobies in silverpine , then hordies in under city , they fly trough the zeppelins to orgrimmar , OMG this would even better then scourge invasion :D just hope Blizzard will do something like this

who knows, maybe they will, i thought it would be cool if people had to fight certain things in the changed areas which would start a huge battle in that area, and the outcome of the battle would either make the area change in a good way or a bad way, which would allow for unique items etc. to be purchased and new quests available. idk though, its just an idea, i think it would be fun though.
But wait untill Cataclysm gets done, I wonder what will happen then before it's released!!
Maybe we will start to see earthquakes or high tides or fire raining through the skies stuff like that! That's more powerful than Burning Legion and Scourge invasion combined.
The whole reason that blizzard did this was to test how the world reacted to this kind of thing without actually turning the world into... well zombies. just like the corrupted blood it intreged many scientists at how people were dealing with and reacting to a real plaque.... scientists beleive that mmorpg's could be the "test model" for plaques
it was more fun when it happened, i was doi some fishing and i saw a crate, likew anyone would i opened it and boom it sayed i was infected, its fun playiong with ur m8s like trying to survive and not get infected

I remember my guild formed a survival group saving low level players and people in general. We stayed in a hidden house in Ashenvale and went out to save people and kill zombies.
im REALLY looking forward to this. im gonna try make a "survivor" group that wll try and find a safe place from the infection, and then make a camp there. will be like left 4 dead lol:p

when this happened me and a guy from my old guild went to the orc/troll starting area and hunted noobz it was so fucking fun until one reported us for harassment so a gm ported me and my friend to org where 80s ripped us to pieces XD
I loved this invasion so much. It gave a feeling that you were really in a fight for survival. I was only level 36 when this happened. The very first zombie i saw was a level 80 druid turning. It scared the hell out of me. The guards had to kill her, but then they were infected. With in the next three days, an army of zombies attacked. All the capitals were ghosts towns with in one week. I was totally alone with the walking dead. Awesome rush XD.
Dude! this event was EPIC! and awesome choice for a theme song! couldnt have made a better one that 28 days later lol. I hope blizz does something like this again.

who knows, maybe they will, i thought it would be cool if people had to fight certain things in the changed areas which would start a huge battle in that area, and the outcome of the battle would either make the area change in a good way or a bad way, which would allow for unique items etc. to be purchased and new quests available. idk though, its just an idea, i think it would be fun though.

The whole reason that blizzard did this was to test how the world reacted to this kind of thing without actually turning the world into... well zombies. just like the corrupted blood it intreged many scientists at how people were dealing with and reacting to a real plaque.... scientists beleive that mmorpg's could be the "test model" for plaques

it was more fun when it happened, i was doi some fishing and i saw a crate, likew anyone would i opened it and boom it sayed i was infected, its fun playiong with ur m8s like trying to survive and not get infected

I remember my guild formed a survival group saving low level players and people in general. We stayed in a hidden house in Ashenvale and went out to save people and kill zombies.

Hehe on my server we formed a battle line in the Cathedral District. We had 80's at the entrances, with the feel of a refugee camp. It was great!

when this happened me and a guy from my old guild went to the orc/troll starting area and hunted noobz it was so fucking fun until one reported us for harassment so a gm ported me and my friend to org where 80s ripped us to pieces XD

I loved this invasion so much. It gave a feeling that you were really in a fight for survival. I was only level 36 when this happened. The very first zombie i saw was a level 80 druid turning. It scared the hell out of me. The guards had to kill her, but then they were infected. With in the next three days, an army of zombies attacked. All the capitals were ghosts towns with in one week. I was totally alone with the walking dead. Awesome rush XD.
