THAT'S NOT A FRENCH BRAID THAT'S A DUTCH BRAID. you have to do a french braid by going over, not under. that's what makes it so difficult.

That is not a french braid. That is a cornrow. French braids involve crossing the hair over instead of under, creating the look of an inverted braid.
