  • Needs more Cowbell.

  • COWBELLL

  • O man... Tht just killed it 0:59 laaaah laaaah lahh... Hahhaha nice mouth.

  • They should sound great...two members are from blue oyster..

  • This band sounds very good, they included all the details for this great rock song DONT FEAR THE REAPER.

  • kicked ass =]

  • great job doing that badass song !

  • great cowbell playing

  • great cowbell playing

  • Never heard of these guys but they did a good job.

  • Coulda used a little more cowbell

  • you guys are aholes, that is joe and albert bouchard, fucking rock legaend with boc, albert you rule!

  • Embarassing.

And oh SHIT what a terrible guitar tone.

This is like "Bob Dylan does B.O.C. unreheased."

C'mon guys, don't try so damn hard. You look - and sound - RIDICULOUS.

  • The dude with the cowbell was doing very sexual things with the drum stick.

  • Nice!

  • I saw BOC in 1972, Louisville, Ky. Opening act for Black Oak Arkansas, I think...possibly not that concert. Blue Oyster Cult much more class than Black Oak Arkansas, sorry. But hey, not PC.

  • love this....damn. Cant believe it but Miranda Lambert totally ripped off the signature riff here with her new song "Maintain The Pain"

  • It's not the cowbell that makes the song, it's that unforgettable guitar riff.

  • i totally agree. very great riff, that makes the song (although its very easy)

  • No one ever showed me the riff, but it sounds easy enough. Sounds great on my air guitar... :D

  • Well, the best things in life are simple...

  • Its Christopher Walken and Will Ferrell

  • MORE COWBELL!!!!

  • But there's two cowbell players.

  • I miss Joe and Albert in BOC, it's time to get the band back together!

  • Excellemt for a Live Performance

  • VERY NICE!!!

  • nice

  • I've got a FEVER! a FEVER FOR MORE COWBELL!

  • What the Hell!!! Who are they!!! I think there just making fun of the real singers...or are they the real one's anyways I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THEM!!!

  • note: this is original BOC bassist Joe Bouchard switching roles and singing and playing lead guitar (on a song he originally played on bass and sang harmony on), with his brother Albert Bouchard on cowbell (he drums on the record); don't know who the bass and drums are attempted by here

  • Thats the bass player from Alice Cooper,

    Dennis Dunaway

  • MORE COWBELL!!!!

  • you all have an obsession!!!

  • I got the fever, too! The only prescription is: MORE COWBELL!

  • hell yea it's all about the cowbell! =D haha

  • LOL 0:11 Cowbell "Cleaning his Nose "

  • it needs more cowbell

  • that is such a tight bass

  • dont fear the cow bell!!!

  • MORE COWBELL NEEDED

    cowbell xD

  • i love cowbells i wish they would make a cowbell hero LOL

  • lool

  • lol Albert Bouchard on Cowbell.

  • NEEDS MORE COWBELL

  • DOnt really know what the fuck is up everybodys asses but I think this is a great cover to be honest great job guys. And the guitar solos are fine.

  • At least there is a cowbell....Great job

  • I agree, Buck Dharma would be crying or laughing if had heard this Shit.

  • the lead guitar player is John Goodman lol

  • Very poor guitar solos last one was just a noise.Buck Dharma would be laughing.

  • poor version....good music, bad singing.

  • haha 0:25 "more cowbell"

  • suena muy potente, no esta nada mal, una digna version de una cancion tan gloriosa.

  • i didnt really like this version

  • hahah that is funny at 4:50

  • lol your right

  • at like 4:50 it looks like hes fucking the air (cowbell player)

im in fever of some more

    COWBELL!!!!!!!!

  • type in cowbell hero this songs playing and somebody's slamming down on the same note the whole time lol

  • The frontman, lead guitar is the bassist for blue oyster, the bass player is bassist for Alice Cooper.

  • Not bad, after 30 plus years! I was impressed how the cow bell guy really "explored the space", man.

  • Sorry, Cult Bros., not too impressive...

  • LOL. This is a classic hit but now, because of Christopher Walken, all I can think of is the cowbell skit when I hear it.

  • It's missing Buck Dharma! (BoC lead guitarist and vocalist on this song) He was an underrated guitarist.

  • this song kicks ass, but on the first lead bridge after the chorus, the guitarist was terrible, and his vocals and sub par at best.

  • Dude this song is great but somehow it's lacking something and I can't seem to know what it is.

  • It's the vocals... Not to impressing!

  • At 2:39 we get the cowbell equivalent of an orgasm.

  • moar cowbell

  • almost there, but it could still use more cowbell

  • That's some great cowbell playing.

  • lmao

  • which one of them is the former bassist? the guy on bass or the frontman?

  • haha, the bassist. he doesnt lay guitar

  • the only prescription is more cowbell

  • Guys I got fever,,,,,

  • Amazing job guys.

  • its good, but it can use more cowbell...MORE COWBELL!!!!!!!!!!!...lol

  • Cowbell is pretty good in this video.

  • Imagine being able to play guitar 1/2 as good as any of these guys VS sitting on your butt in front of a computer producing nothing

  • this is such an easy song i've been playing for 3 months and i can play it its not hard at all, and just so u know i learned how to play it by sitting on my ass and teaching myself thru utube. o nd if u dont belive me ill go by a webcam just so i can show u i can play this song

  • can you sing AND play it?

  • he needs to explore his space..i gotta have more cowbell!

  • cowbell rocks rocks rocks my socks wuwuuawuauwu

  • Does anybody know what this song is called??

  • dont fear the reaper by blue oyster cult

  • oh fuck thats a tough one?

    What is it again?

Oh yeah Dont fear the reaper....

    lol wow buddy

  • just a little more cowbell.....lol

  • hahhaahaha you are so original

  • this is awsome.

  • Who is that guy at 00:19? It should be Will Ferrell on the cowbell. He is tapping the cowbell too lightly. He needs more feeling with that cowbell.

  • Imagine it without the singing, almost ok, but in general CRAP....

  • Covers are really disappointing when the real thing is available-- the whole band together on other recordings

  • i like it

  • lol once it hit 00:26 i thought the guy in the red shirt looked like newman from seinfeld...p.s this version sux dont watch it...wana know why? read the description

  • This stinks.

Like we're supposed to pretend it sounds good. The original was simply great and this pales.

  • i think they get 56% on rock band

  • LOL

  • It was for a good cause, too.

  • i liked it until the solo

it wasnt as good as the original

    but y would it be?

  • For an amateur audio/video recording, it actually doesn't sound half-bad. For a better example of what the X Brothers sound like, check out Cellsum Records' site, where, if you follow a couple links, you can hear iTunes samples from both of their albums, "Solid Citizens" and "Beyond The Valley Of The X". Both those CDs are available (from separate sources), and are great straight-ahead rock and roll records. The X Brothers are actually pretty good.

  • i agree ,its a live camcorder sound quality ,,but musically, these guys are tight!

  • Are these the guys who did that crappy version for The Frightners.

  • if u read the 'about this video" you would notice its not the blue oyster cult playin it

  • To Wario2009: FUCK YOU! Dude these guys still have it. This song has a lot better sound to it than your dad playing your mommas squeeze box every night! So shut up and watch the Fucking video!

  • lol! u said it

  • are you KIDDING ME??????!!!!!! not only are they fuckin' fogies, but they can't even SING ANYMORE!!!!!!!! they were better in the 70's!

  • So will you be one day.

  • These men are frighteningly old.

  • And still frightenly good eH!

  • Heavy Metal PURO!

  • who's the 'tard on cowbell?

  • I think the 'tard you are referring to is the original drummer of BOC back in the day. I'm trying to check out the drummer but can't see or recognize him.

  • lol at the end

    ADOPT A PET TODAY!

  • i love how cool the cowbell guy thinks he is. personally i think will ferrell was better

  • Dig these Cold, Outside Gigs!

    BOC Rocked!

  • Killer!!

  • guitar solo is the best part in song

  • lmao i love the drummer he was going crazy on the solos at the end

  • a simple riff (as "smoke on the water" and a classic...

    still love blue oyster cult

  • i want to hear the cowbell.

  • God, I love BOC, people! Anyone at Jones Beach in '78 knows that, at the time, BOC was the greatest band in rock. Well, better than bands like the Stones, anyway.

  • MORE COWBELL!!!!!!

  • YES!!!! COWBELL!!!!!

  • To be honest fellas, I could use a little more cowbell!

  • That's awesome! he nails Buck's solo! and is that Dennis Dunaway on bass?

  • this is an awesome song, but jesus christ thats un ugly bass...

  • Great Job! Thanx for posting!!!

  • I could hardly hear the cowbell! What's the deal? Bruce Dickinson would be very disappointed. I'm just sayin'...

  • The cowbell player should have explored the space a little more. There arent too many BOC songs with cowbell in them so he needs to perform the hell out of it.

  • upon further contemplation of this i have realized that this live cover version is every bit as rad as any BOC live version of this song.

    kudos, whoever you guys are!

  • Thats the Bouchard Brother's They Made Up 2/5 of B.O.C. in the 70's & 80's

  • awesome sunglasses...and cowbell!

  • I've got a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell!

  • WE NEED MORE COWBELL

  • lol

  • Is that Jimmy on the drums?

  • More cowbell

  • HOLY SHIT the drumer reminds me of animal from the muppits

  • looks like geddys bass but GREEN!

  • LOL I NO ITS SO UGLY WITH THAT COLOR

  • this is the better b.o.c. ive heard from this band...not bad...much better than burning for you

  • i'm sure the live performance was better.... lol

  • what a cocky moutha fucka with that bass.

  • fellas, i got a fever, and the only perscription is more cowbell

  • only two cowbells? u could have atleast seven more

  • good job, but it could stand a little more cowbell

  • ooops i meant "LIVE!"

  • not bad. it's life and you know how things go when it's life! assholes who don't know about music. yes, the vocals could be better.

  • The vocals are SHIT.

  • why are you talking about those fucking cowbells?

  • They had TWO cowbells! Although he shouldn't have held it like that, muted it too much.(I liked it before SNL, btw) Good cover though. That drummer really freaked out at the end!

  • boo sick of hearing about it get the fuck over that skit

  • its a good video, but i gotta be honest....i could of used more cowbell

  • Joe Bouchard is the one singing and playing guitar. Most BOC fans know he played bass for BOC for most of their golden years.

  • is this actually blue oyster cult or not?.. sounds awsome though

  • thats a tiny cowbell

  • NO ONE does it like buck dharma but im impressed this guy had a very good version. COOL vid

  • This song rocks till death... just an eternally great song.

  • People should use cowbell in metal !!!

  • MORE COWBELL !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Where is Christopher Walken when you need him?

  • Ok try a saturday night live sit..same song...but with more cowbell...

  • can some explain to me what the hell cowbell is?

  • See that guy with the single drum stick? He is doing the cowbell. I think.

  • thanks, but i am still confused

  • search for "snl cowbell" and find a video that hasn't been taken down yet.

  • Nice. Very nice. Guitarist plays and sings very well. Keep it up. Awsome solo. Backround singers need to try a bit harder, sorry.

  • THEY NEED MORE COWBELL

  • If you look very closely on the right, you can see me living my dream. Playing cowbell to Don't Fear the Reaper!!!!

  • ive got a fever... and the only prescription is more cowbell!!!

  • Cowbell!! :)

  • Just loved it!

Joe pulled off some serious Buck leads fine.

Nice seeing Dennis on bass tearing it up too.

    Great cause supporting ASPCA.

    Great job!

  • for 2 brothers joe and albert that dont want to be in blue oyster cult anymore sure do play alot of the songs still i think they want to be back with blue oyster cult i think they should get back in the band

  • More cowbell please !

  • baby take my hand

  • ...but the last time I checked, we don't have a whole lot of songs that feature the cowbell... and I'd be doing myself a disservice, and every member of this band, if I didn't perform the hell out of this! LOL

  • it was all a lie,Gene Frenkle never died, he is still alive and on that stage!

  • LMAO!!! I wish Christopher Walken had been there to walk on stage at the end to say it needed more cowbell!!! :)

  • MORE COWBELL!!!!
