Also after the first extraction theres still lots of thc in the leftovers just dry it out freeze it then use 99% iso alcohol soak a few seconds frozen to get amber crystals or half hour for regular hash oil and overnight for some dank plant-matter infused strong flavoured hash sludge... just dry out the hash sludge for a bit and it'll be like some barely passable hash

@pckid17 depends on the bud, the shit i did in the video there, I think I got about 2-2.5g grams in total out of that 10grams of bud if I remember correctly.

You should take your pokey, and put about half a dab on it, then take that and hit it wiht the torch. See if it melts and runs down the pokey, without crackleing. It can budder up and still have alot of butane in it. It budders up from cooling down. When I dont vaccum purge, I have to wip it, while its melted at around 130 degrees, for about 30-90 minutes, depending on the strain, and amount I ran, before its clean. Then it tastes, and smells like the budd it was made from.
@supabad98 No, that method is for doing bubble hash, it makes the trichomes brittle and break off whole when you do your wash. This technique I am showing uses a solvent (butane) so that step is not needed as there is no "breaking off" of trichomes. The solvent does the job of seperating them from the plant material.
you sure 200 degrees isnt too hot ? i had my pyrex over 200 degree water and it seemed way hot, 150 seemed plenty no ? have you actually stuck a thermometer in your water ?
@sheldondabs like I said, around 200, not exactly, you don't want it to boil. But at least see some bubbles forming up in the water like it is about to.
@sheldondabs do not worry so much about the exact temp of the water, I was just giving that temp as a guideline. As I explain in the video, you want to get the oil to a very liquidy/runny state. Keep it at this point until the amount of bubbles you see forming in the oil become very small and there are fewer of them. Once you get to this point, just shut off the heat and whip like crazy. Not all herb will budder up this way.
If your's doesn't budder up after doing this, try leaving it out on an open dish overnight, sometimes BHO will turn to this buddery texture after being left out for a while. If it still doesn't budder up its most likely the herb you are working with. From my experience herbs that have overripened (too much amber trichs) will almost always turn into shatter as opposed to budder.

@mattop1 very low heat, you want the water to slowly heat up to around 200 degrees. Once your bho starts getting really liquidy you can back down on the heat.

You should take your pokey, and put about half a dab on it, then take that and hit it wiht the torch. See if it melts and runs down the pokey, without crackleing. It can budder up and still have alot of butane in it. It budders up from cooling down. When I dont vaccum purge, I have to wip it, while its melted at around 130 degrees, for about 30-90 minutes, depending on the strain, and amount I ran, before its clean. Then it tastes, and smells like the budd it was made from.

@supabad98 No, that method is for doing bubble hash, it makes the trichomes brittle and break off whole when you do your wash. This technique I am showing uses a solvent (butane) so that step is not needed as there is no "breaking off" of trichomes. The solvent does the job of seperating them from the plant material.

@sheldondabs do not worry so much about the exact temp of the water, I was just giving that temp as a guideline. As I explain in the video, you want to get the oil to a very liquidy/runny state. Keep it at this point until the amount of bubbles you see forming in the oil become very small and there are fewer of them. Once you get to this point, just shut off the heat and whip like crazy. Not all herb will budder up this way.

If your's doesn't budder up after doing this, try leaving it out on an open dish overnight, sometimes BHO will turn to this buddery texture after being left out for a while. If it still doesn't budder up its most likely the herb you are working with. From my experience herbs that have overripened (too much amber trichs) will almost always turn into shatter as opposed to budder.

Some of the comments here are making me laugh. As for the cleanliness of the final product, I'm using a very clean butane which leaves a minimal amount of residue behind. It's no worse than what you are inhaling everytime you fire up a bong with a light. And for those of you who asking why not just smoke the herb instead of make budder, you need to get a nice oil rig and try some high quality extract. It will change your whole outlook. lol

@mattop1 very low heat, you want the water to slowly heat up to around 200 degrees. Once your bho starts getting really liquidy you can back down on the heat.

@Autodidiact lol, it actually turned out to be a small bug like a tic or something. I just didn't say it on camera. But when I pulled it out and looked at it closer I seen it was a small bug. Must have fell/flew in when I was doing the extraction outside. I didn't feel like smoking tics so I had no choice but to pick him out. :)

I had 5 cans in a large bowl ignite from hitting me heat gun on high instead of off and it wasnt that bad. If it happens ever just leave the dish where it is and put sumthing over it. The only way its tragic is if you were to kick the dish or spill it on yourself. But yea good luck and great video
