So it's ok that I watch the sidewalk when I walk so I don't crush any ants? Lol good, I was starting to think I was losing my mind. I hate when it rains because there's SO many worms on the ground. It's rained all morning and I have to ride my bike to work in a few hours... It's going to be a slow ride trying to avoid running them over.
Although I have no problem with people personally choosing not to eat meat or anything produced by an animal... I don't think there's much point on trying to push that ideology on anyone else, because for as long as humans live on this planet, they will eat animals.
I wholeheartedly disagree with slavery. I'm just saying that, if you choose to be a vegan, then so be it. That's your personal choice. But you will never convert enough people to veganism to make a difference. People will still kill animals and eat them whatever you do. No matter whether or not you agree with that, is of no importance, because it will never change. Whereas something like slavery can and has been abolished, because the majority believed it was wrong, which it is.
Anyone who wholeheartedly disagrees with slavery should be vegan. Pedophiles have a personal choice to abuse children, but their choice harms. Rapists have a personal choice to rape woman, and their choice harms. Flesh eaters might choice to eat animal corpses, but this is very harmful, unnecessary and is responsible for the murder of billions.
A plant based diet is planet friendly in regards climate change.
We will have to disagree. Animal rights is the next big justice movement.
"If you think you’re too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a closed room with a mosquito. "
A single vegan, throughout their lifetime saves countless animals from slaughter and reduces their environmental impact on this planet. That DOES make a difference no matter how insignificant you may find it.
Hi Freddiemercuryloyal1, Killing for any purpose is wrong. Eating flesh of a being who was killed by yourself or someone else is still flesh of a being who was murdered. Eating meat is not necessary for health. It is detrimental for health, and bad for a whole host of reasons including climate change. Killing defenceless beings is nothing short of cowardly.
Cont'd to Freddiemercuryloyal1, Furthermore, if you are suggesting that everyone should take up a rifle and kill defenceless beings for "food". Imagine what that would look like in a world with 6+ billion people. Adopting a plant based diet is the only sustainable solution for a planet where animal-use industries are 1 of 2 top contributors to climate change. 18%. more than all automotive industries combined. Watch my vid "Although we think and act as if we are, humans are not...."
Life is sacred an if treated unsacred then nothing can exist in harmony, all care of pleasing their senses but to keep the mind healthy and free from guilt, anger, revenge has its causes somewhere you think
Be I a human, If my mere presence "bothers" some one. if he can then "fix it" but without consequences-(what-so-ever), he would do it. We cannot have our this system of "consequences and reward" like "heaven and hell"- but respect life truly.. teach and preach this. lest we seek to ourselves be treated any different than that fly. 4 otherwise people will continue to bomb people that either strapped to their bodies and then on to missiles for seeking their reward & producing their consequences..
So true. Any time someone kills something, even a fly, it does speak of a kind of apathy toward life in general. I'm always amazed at how thoughtlessly people seem to kill insects/spiders. anyway, great thought-provoking video.
The worst thing about it is that Barrack got a massive round of applause from all the crew when he killed the fly. Talk about people happily joining in with the death of others.
I just killed an ant that was crawling on my leg 5 minutes ago. Now I feel really bad. You're right; it was second nature to just kill it. I am a vegetarian, and yet, I still killed that ant. Thanks for opening up our eyes.
Excelent work. I'm actualy not a vegetarian, I've been thinking about it o a while, but i thought "I can't do it, tere'd be nothing to eat." But today, as fait would have it, i forgot my lunch, So my riend gave me pat of her veggy sandwhich, and it was delicious, so i thought, Maybe i could do this. I just saw "Meet your Meat," and now I'm seriously considering it
Nicely put
im a life long vegetarian btw.

Hi EmptyNutShells,
There's many who would disagree with you.
If everyone had your attitude, human slavery would still be legal.

I believe that you only kill to survive. I myself am a hunter, but i hunt only to eat. I do NOT agree with farming as it is unfair on the animals.
Survival of the fitest doesn't seem to apply to us anymore..... :(
Nice video.

I see that people eat too much meat, but wouldn't it be necessary to control human reproduction to slow down the climate change?

If anger rises and you desire
to harm another being
already you have harmed
yourself far more than him.
And that is why you must
often think on compassion;
for compassion keeps from rising
all thought of anger, evil, and pain.
