it's so weird, i watched this movie a million times when i was three, and recently i saw a clip of the gary oldman spider thing and i instantly recognized it, even though i haven't seen it in such a long time. just one of those things that sticks out from your early childhood memories.
I really wish Spider Smith hadn't removed the cloak. He was actually sort of creepy before that. That said, I still dreamed he was chasing me a few nights ago (even though I hadn't seen the movie in over ten years)...
@TwiggyJack Nostalgia has a lot to do with it. Don't re-watch old movies that you watched as a kid if you want to retain the magic of those memories. That said, I pick and choose which movies to watch.
If you watch a beloved movie or replay a classic game, do so with the realization that this is a old piece of work and will not fit your updated standards. You can enjoy the work for what it is and still have fond memories of your first experiences.
