These tires aren't as good as savage x 4.6 , i have a 4.6 and it has no problems gripping in snow at all , hpi made this truck bettter in everyway than a 4.6 but they didn't install proper wheels.
Good stuff man, tuning in the very cold and snowy conditions is very tough. The air cleaner gets snow packed or water soaked, the engine works much harder than you would think and while the mixture may sound lean, it is not always so. Sometimes they just cannot intake enough air. Snow is a lot of fun though! If you really want to make a mess of things, toss on a set of four sand paddles. 8^)
did you find it ran hot all the time? my seems to run way hotter than the manual says it should
