It will probaly be ritalin because that is what i was on and you can get side effects from it. now that i am 20 and come off ritalin i am worse than before i went on it. it is tough but u should give them the choice even though they are only 6 and 7 you should still let them choose. later on in life like in england i had ritalin over my G.C.S.E period and it helped but that was my choice.

well taken from personal use here, I was put on ADHD medication when i was 5 years old, no i still have ADHD today, but i have found ways to relieve it and thats trough gaming, but getting back to the matter at hand. Taking the medication just made me feel like someone else and it made it feel like my brain wasnt functioning correctly. So your boys being on it is not a good thing, at all cost take them off of it, they will be changed forever
actually it is a stimulate surprising as it sounds but the way it works is that it stimulates the brain but it stimulates the brain in the way to make them focus to a point they may not eat or be social ie:my 8th grade year i took an experimental drug and it actually looked like i was depressed but i have stopped taking meds for a couple years (senior in highschool) im doing fine but meds helped shaped me and i was medicated when i was that young but only medicated for the school days
You're the dad man, if you think something isn't right for your kids, then it isn't right. They don't come with a manual, you only have your own intuition to go off. If you don't feel the drugs are right, take them off them.
i think everyone in my (im 17) generation has a degree of adhd just look at the test scores from the previous generation they are hella better. our attention span is like 10 minutes, but if we are gaming, its a couple hours

I dont have ADD but i take the medicine. Dont ask me why. My grades got a lot better and I started playing better tennis. It has been nice but not worth ruining who I am, and forfeiting a social life and appetite. Today is your lucky day. Im actually a human development therapist and have learned a lot about diagnosing children at a young age. From my experience children are diagnosed with ADHD at a far to young age, they are kids, it the way kids act. I would take them off of the medication and have them get diagnosed again when they are 12 or 13. If your ex wife thinks they are always hyper then maybe tell her to change their diet, and not give them so much sugar.I have more suggestion. Hope this helps

Yote, I had ADHD. I know your sons are 6/7 but can they read? Its how I got over it and I strongly believe it could help. Screw the drugs. Just make sure the house it calm and quiet. It'll help improve their concentration and the possibility of ADHD
I had ADHD and it does not just consist of being a child and hyper but not being able to concentrate in places like a class room or a meeting or getting easily distrupted and caught off task or like me and many other cases not being able to hold a thourgh and end up shouting it out but apart from that i think its great what you are doing and im happy to know you are supporting your children... one more thing there are different doses of medicine for your child so he may not react so bad to it :)
When your kids take the medication, it makes the kids act the way our society wants kids to be. (quiet, obedient, and other crap) But in reality, the medication i taking away your "true" sons. So all in all, SAY NO TO DRUGS.

I dont have ADD but i take the medicine. Dont ask me why. My grades got a lot better and I started playing better tennis. It has been nice but not worth ruining who I am, and forfeiting a social life and appetite. Try and get them off it and see if they can function without and if not then start it back up when they get a little older. Help like this so yote can see this! Thanks

I have adhd, i take medication for it, It makes me very independent in the way that i dont want to be with anyone, or do anything, i hate the crap, but it helps me focus in school.

Today is your lucky day. Im actually a human development therapist and have learned a lot about diagnosing children at a young age. From my experience children are diagnosed with ADHD at a far to young age, they are kids, it the way kids act. I would take them off of the medication and have them get diagnosed again when they are 12 or 13. If your ex wife thinks they are always hyper then maybe tell her to change their diet, and not give them so much sugar.I have more suggestion. Hope this helps

Yote, i hope you read this. I have ADD, thats just ADHD without the hyperactivity. I cant concentrate on things and school and stuff. I'm using Ritalin and it's going fine. But I'm 15 years old and the first time i used it, I was like sitting supersuperstoned in my bedroom for a few hours :P But yeah kids from 6 and 7 shouldnt use that shit dude. They're hyper naturally and dont need to do shat for school.

Yote, I had ADHD. I know your sons are 6/7 but can they read? Its how I got over it and I strongly believe it could help. Screw the drugs. Just make sure the house it calm and quiet. It'll help improve their concentration and the possibility of ADHD

I had ADHD and it does not just consist of being a child and hyper but not being able to concentrate in places like a class room or a meeting or getting easily distrupted and caught off task or like me and many other cases not being able to hold a thourgh and end up shouting it out but apart from that i think its great what you are doing and im happy to know you are supporting your children... one more thing there are different doses of medicine for your child so he may not react so bad to it :)

When your kids take the medication, it makes the kids act the way our society wants kids to be. (quiet, obedient, and other crap) But in reality, the medication i taking away your "true" sons. So all in all, SAY NO TO DRUGS.
