I came home after 3 days and have a nurse come to my home 2x's a week. 2 days ago after she left i walked w/ my walker about 4 ft. and my knee caved in inwardly!!!! I FREAKED!. Going to Dr for post-op tmrw.Man,i better not need to redo this!!!
thanks for posting . you are a real trooper hope you are doing much better now. your video helps to inspire people going through rehab and people who might one day want to become therapists
Wouldn't day 1 be in the hospital. You shouldn't forget the physical therapists that you had while you were in the hospital. Those are the ones that got you on your feet for the first time. How bout giving some credit to them!
I am 4 weeks post op with a rt TKR. I am a veteran and surg done at the VA in LA. I received a Smith and Neqhew Oxinium knee. at this point my knee is weak and unstable. What kind of progress should I expect at the 4 week period. It feels jiggly/loose and stabbing pain above and below the knee cap. flex 120 and extend 170 good. I feel as I walk that I have no control when I put my right leg forward and it seems to release. WHAT EXERCISES should I be doing NOW. I also sent a video response

@studentphys101 Sorry I have been locked out of my account for a couple of months , but this was 10 days after surgery. I had 1 week of in home PT. Prior to this.
@annab1433 Actually pretty well. I have been fighting swelling. The nerve endings are coming back and now my knee feels a little weird. It is a very unusual, not really painful, but weird sensation. I am walking more normally. I really need to strengthen it more. When I think about it I try to shift my weight over it, because for so long I have been right leg dominant.
This is really good! I am having my right knee replaced on January 18th 2010 and these video help me to get mentally pumped up for the knee rehab. thanks!
