  • Great tip! now that puts the brain in gear and i think it would be possible to use one of those mini steam generator guns that are used in a household kitchen for cleaning off grease etc..that would swell the foam pretty well. good video! Rob

  • Great info, thanks.

  • You sound just like Angus Deayton (UK TV Show presenter)

  • Only wish I'd seen your video before I repaired my squall! Would have saved a few hours adding triangles of foam to all the crushed parts.

  • Good stuff. Thanks for the lesson.

  • now it has the bubbles more obvious like an alligator.. how does that go away?

  • @youronlycow While it cools you can try to smooth out the worst, (with anything rounded/ blunt), but some of the bubbling will shrink back by itself.

But yes, it will always be rougher than the original finish, but at least straight & repairable , & it will not affect it in flight (or be visible).

  • @volvotl22 well, the colour variation on mine is off.. The normal one is brown and the repaired one is darker brown.. haha oh well...

  • great tip tho :)

  • haha i did this.....

and forgot that i had electronics still in the plane -.- i wasted £210

i just baught new pieses... servo... reciver...etc lol o well :)

  • @M15TRY77 You won`t be the only one, I dampened my receiver because I was simply too lazy to take it out, but didn`t affect it by sheer dumb luck (only a bit of steam, not fully immersed).

    Glad you liked the demo.

  • This is a great tip and the demo was excellent. Thanks!
