    yeoo bra, nice si, i wanted one exacly like yours but ended up gettin an rsx type s. anyway i wanna get the basic bolt ons, injen cai, h/e. my only setback is the rceheader bit. i want a dcrh but im buggin bout the cat delete. is it worth the trouble. in pa we have yearly insp. but im willing to put stock mani. back on come the time. i'll get kpro too. will my car be cool for a daily? i heard it'll smell like oil n gas? can you help me?

    HONESTLY, you could get vibrant with a cat, but after i got the dcrh. i sold it for the buddyclub... it is wayyyyyy better with air flow. i say dont worry about the cat delete because you can put a non fouler on the second o2 sensor and they wont know you have a race header... worked for me on my 08 si!

  • what you need to understand a stock si is only pushing 187 to the wheels so the fact that he even got to 200 with basic breather mods and a reflash is really good, oo and there is no chip that will get you 50 horses and 90lbs or torque dont believe what you see on the internet

  • @delasoul17 these SI's stock, only have like 177whp. thats usually the average, and i see alot of RSX-S's around 180whp. so he actually gained more than you made it out to be. guess most the guys i see dont get a good tuner. my stock k20a2 (RSX-S) swap made 184whp 148tq which is 16 less HP and 2 more TQ than this Si. but its still cool to see that 200 mark

  • 200 at the wheel man, so it would be like 230 or 240 at the crank with just bolt on and a reflash.

  • wow how much does that cost? a chip on my car just stg1  will get me 50hp and 90lbs i believe and only cost $600, i mean its a factory turbo setup but still 40hp and 10lbs that seams like nothing

  • well, do you have a turbo car? if so, its different from N/A cars man. all those bolt on together cost around 1500-2000 dollars.

  • i do have a turbo, and that makes sense just dunno why ppl spend that much money for so little gain, seems like you should start with a different platform

  • well, he could put a ajp turbo kit on it and it will cost 5gran plus tuning etc will be 7 gran but the car will make over 400WHP only on low psi.

  • that buddy club system definitely gives the k20 a powerful sound. seems kinda loud for a DD. how is it just cruising around? i was kinda surprised with this clip. im used to the buddy club sound in the b series which in my opinion was terrible but here its got that raspy sound there known for but its not a bad sound. k20 ftw!

  • in this video i have the DC race header man... ill get a dyno here in the next month or so with my Buddyclub setup!

  • Valeratj makes a great point....all these so called 'performance' rwd cars are shown with all these track stats which 99% of the regular users will never do or experience so its all pointless stats. To be honest, majority of the amateur racing going on is just plain old n00b straight line races from traffic lights for which you will see very little difference between FWD and RWD...only the AWD's show a difference here in the launch.

  • lol I read a stock cobalt sc could beat me... This dyno video was with my DCRH, The new mods I have are coilovers, powerstick (top motor mount) and stage2 clutch. I beat a stock 09 turbo balt from a dig, 20, and 30 roll. From a 40 roll he starts to walk me. Keep in mind, Im not denying the power of the turbo cobalt. They are bad bitches... but the sc'd one suck...

  • korean cars suck thats why they r doing better then US automakers who want billions to get out of the shitty situation. look up the top 20 most relieble cars. 16 out of 20 r japanese and only 1 car from US. german cars blow as much as americans.. they only have more lux and tech. and alot of mechanical problems

  • thats true and its partly becyase people are so ignorant...gm cars used to be complete shit, same deal with many other auto makers, and people still assume they have the same problems whereas over the 10 years they thought this the problem would obviously be looked into and fixed...the zr1 is so sick though gotta give them credit for that

  • oh ya and just if ur wondering i can sell my balt for a grand more than i paid a year after owning it and its stock...so it not only held its value but around here its kind of in demand or somethin...the cobalt handles as well as the civic...why wouldnt it they weigh about the same and are fwd and have sport tuned supensions, i think it handles like a dream but im sure the si is no different. im not sayin the si is bad but ill stick to gm to support our shit economy hahah

  • thing is though chevy underrated the balt, it actually dynos at 215 whp and 200 wtq stock...as u can see the si is well off of that. a reflash could boost any sport compact cuz the car company limits the ecu in order to maximize fuel economy...i got my balt to 38 mpg avg. a sc usually adds 30-40 hp only. another thing, torque is the measure of force with causes the wheels to rotate..u prob want ur wheels to accelerate quick so u need torque in conjunction with power.but u cant get pwr without tq

  • also a cobalt ss sc costs about the same as an si but u get a sick sound system with sub, a sick sounding sc'er, 2 tone leather, pretty sick looks, u can get xm radio and shit and now the new turbo one has a display pod where u can see how mucj hp ur making at the time, boost, and a bunch of other shit

  • bolt ons give little to nothing. you can have i/h/e and a stock si will can still take you out. it is the driver who will make the difference.

  • Nice car bro. But those numbers seem to be a bit low. I mean dont you get like 20whp from hondata and like 25 whp from i/h/e? And i know that bone stock Si's get like 175-180 to the wheels.

  • Seems like the majority of FGs have Skunk2. I just went with custom 2.5" piping to an Apexi N1 muffler. Not too loud, not too quiet. I like it.
