  • I liked them more in the old series, sorry, ive seen the next time trailer and they seem a little squeaky and camp, hey its my opinion, sorry if u ont like it...

  • Where were they from? Were they in old series' or did i miss them in the new ones

  • they were in the really old doctor who's

    and were my favorite

  • They were especially great in the Sontaran Experiment...... even though only one was featured in that story. lol

  • my friend and i have came up (AFTER READEING THROUGH ONE OF THE MAGASINES) that the sontarins in the upcoming episodes are not as they should be for we compared the picture to that of one of court marshall styke and we came up with 2 ways to improve

    1. sontarins never wore blue armour they wore black

    2. the sontarins heads were alot larger

    that is all

  • Funny thing is, Tim Raynham's GROUP Marhsall Stike is one of the less accurate portrayals of the Sontaran conept. He was too tall, his costume was of a poorer design than those before him, during the episode, he tilted his head sideways, which is supposed to be impossible for Sontarans to do, and he put on a stupid voice.

  • Very well said! :D

  • looks kinda exciting?!

  • I hope they get the make up right for the Sontarants because they were quite good in my option in the older series

  • If anyone watches the young ones, you'll probably

be happy to hear that one of them is the leader

(I'm surprising you if you don't know)

  • it's a bit of a boring teaser but you get to see the new monsters really, really, really can't wait for tonight it's going to be brilliant.

    P.S: lol can't wait

  • wtf r sontrans and da doc int childish his cool his partners r sexy n they sum times make a scary(er) episode cos dat dude that writes jerkyl does them.

  • Well, good luck finding the subject and predicate of that run-on sentence. "da doc int childish his cool"? What the bloody hell does it mean?

The sontarans are old series villains btw.

  • i wunded hu vey were

  • This makes the Sontarans and Ood appear scary.

  • I've heard that series 4 has 13 episodes and then theres the christmas special. Apparently theres only going to be 3 episodes next year and then it comes back as a series in 2010, but without David Tennent. =S

  • It's partly true Doctor who is taking a break next year and are going to be showing 3 Special episodes instead but Russell refuses to confirm or deny whether Tennant is leaving this year

  • WTF

  • well dont watch it then

  • I'd love to see the whole Torchwood team working with the cast of Doctor Who, that'd make a great episode, although they'd have to tone down Owen a bit =P

  • Owen and Jack and Ianto. Jack and Ianto being one entity...

I find Doctor Who (especially since Tennant took over) particularly dull and childish since watching Torchwood. Anyone else feel the same?

I mean, I used to love Classic who but since Russell T took the reins I just find it not as good. Like it is trying to impress the kids too much, I thought that once SJA was on our screens Doctor Who would go back to how it was in the 70s (- the graphics) but alas, it still manages to disappoint me.

  • no just shut it if you find it dull and dissapointing then dont watch it god it pretty damn simple

  • No offence, but I was just stating an opinion. I don't really see why I should have to listen to someone that by the looks of it is at least 2 years younger than me.

I do still like the show, I was just saying that it manages to disappoint me after being so great in the 60s and 70s (Not so much the 80s) I do still like the show and it is in my top 4. I just preferred it before.

I quite like the Sontarans as well and the Sontaran Experiment was the first episode of Doctor Who I ever saw.

  • Two years isn't a vastly immense age difference, is it? I don't think the fact that somebody is younger than you is cause to devalue their opinion.

  • I know but people tend to grow up a lot in the gap between being 13 and 15. I mean, I did. A lot. And the fact that I took that growing up time and watched Torchwood though it just kind of bent me towards preferring Torchwood.

  • Not that I'm agreeing with the statement to which you are objecting, but a difference in opinion is no reason to be rude. ;)

  • Everyone on this planet should be open to the right of Freedom of Speech and if I cannot get away with stating an opinion then I don't know what the World is coming to.

    I am deeply, deeply sorry.

  • Not much chance of tht, considering that two of the characters died.

  • How the hell is Rose coming back to this universe???

  • i herd that it was to send a warning from the future to donna. its sounds like a gd plot. or another ones is that: thier universe collapses and "spits" them back out. nicce name by the way.

  • thnx

  • In the finale or summin, Rose, Donna and Jack will be together. I've seen photos of the three together in one photo. David, Catherine, Billie and John were in the same photo

  • Sontarans, another of the doctors old enemies.

  • wot r they?

  • Something odd though. The Sontarans in this trailer appear to be dressed in black armor, but the one in the publicity shots is a sort of violet/purple color.

Anyway, I'm glad the Sontarans are being revived (it was kind of inevitable really) I wonder if they'll bring back the Rutans at some point.

  • You'll find alot of armies actually do march that way. Its called an imperial step. Yes, there are different names for different types of marching lol.

  • According John, Jack will be coming back however it is for the finale, like last series. Not the same episode which Rose and Martha have been announced to be in. But I guess there is a possiblity that Rose and Martha stick around for the finale too. It's all a little bit mysterious right now but I'll promise to find out more.

  • I think they are all (Martha, Rose, Jack) in the final episodes. But I may be wrong.

  • What do you get if you cross a Judoon with a jacket potato...?

  • by the way sara jane smith is back too XD lol

  • What?! Is this some kind of reunion of the compnaions?! First Donna, then Martha, then Rose and now Sarah Jane too. This is getting a bit ridiculous....

  • Don't forget Captain Jack :P

  • He'll be using a BFG to destroy them pesky Sontarans. But he'll need more than a flashy antimatter cannon, in order to defeat the demons that Rose brings in the wake of her return.

  • only, they are.

  • Oh, how wrong you are. Both John Barrowman and Elisabeth Sladen have said themselves that they'll both be in series four...

  • there is photographic evidence from shooting that confirms the return of sarah jane, jack, rose, martha, donna, micky and jackie in episodes 12 and 13

  • Yep, I can't wait for Jack to hit on Sarah imagine teh conversation.

Jack: Hi I'm Captain Jack Harkness

Sarah Jane: I'm old enough to be your mother Mr Harkness

Jack: Oh, how wrong you are Miss Smith.

  • Heh, wait till Donna meets Jack...HIS face will be a picture. Betcha he'll get slapped.

  • Lol. You sound like you could probably write the script. lol

  • John Barrowman has confirmed himself, you idiot.

  • well, torchwood and unit meet at the same time

unit = martha and sarah jane

torchwood = torchwood cardiff and the torchwood rose works in

and donna is already with the doctor

    so everybody meets really,

  • I can't believe they are back!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!! the doctor, donna, Martha, and Rose!!! it will be the best!!!!

  • W00T! jacket putato is back on the menu!

  • This is the worst of the 3, you don't really see much.

  • They look a bit like the Judoon! Can't wait for s4!

  • No, you mean the Judoon look like them, since the Sontarans have been around for 30 years longer than the Judoon.

  • Does it really matter that much?

  • Well he does have a point. When I saw the Judoon for the first time, I was dissapointed because I thought they were the Sontarans for a brief moment.

  • I don't like hating doctor who, so i watched this because i thought i'd give it another chance. given that its 10 seconds long, it was a bit pointless i'll grant you. but i'll continue to do that if thats ok with you because, (in my opinion), doing anything else would prejudice.

most of what i said was just a matter of opinion, but i don't think to say that the plots and the costumes are shit is. thats just plain sense.

  • hopefully!!!

  • Sontarans! what a surprise- not. It's only a matter of time before we see the Rani again...

  • maybe the rani r alredy in s4

  • the rani r??? isnt it the rani is... and i doubt it very much, they cant the use the old pocket watch trick twice.

  • tbh i never thought the rani was that great. especially in her second performance

  • I think that woman with the red finger nails at the end of 'Last of the Time Lords' was the Rani. I bet that the master's ring contains some of his DNA and she will be able to use that to grow another version of the Master.

  • Her third performance wasn't exactly noteworthy either.

  • well, you both have no taste. (in my opinion)

  • If I were to locate a Star Trek clip and give all the reasons I thought it was rubbish, I'm guessing I'd get a lot of thumbs down too. I'm glad you know your goals in life.

In my opinion, the Bible is a bigger work of fiction than Doctor Who and football is a magnificent and thrilling joy.

    But that's just my opinion.

  • I have to agree with you the best sontaran suit was in The Time Warrior

  • thats what i believe aswell! Although the masks in 'The Two Doctors' were very good, except when they were shooting out in the sun, it looked like the Sontaran's head had shrunk!!! LOL

  • i disagree i always thought the sontaran experiment had the best makeup. plus its their best story

  • Gosh! Is this going to be a Sontaran story with more than one Sontaran?!

They never had that back in the day...

  • Yes , there are more Sontarans , Invasion of Time from Tom Bakers day did feature more then one Sontaran , about three if i remember rightly .

Cheers , Jason [ Doctor Who One ]

  • Let's not forget "The Two Doctors" that had 2 Sontarans in, aswell as... "In A Fix With Sontarans" although that one doesn't really count.
